I'm not saying that Syed cheating was equal to the sum of Christian's mistakes or is the sole result of these. However Christian's attitude and approach did do some damage and played a part in Syed's subsequent choices. That needs to be addressed if they want to open up and move on. Not that I'm expecting it.
I also get whome?'s point about Syed always being the 'wrong party'. That's absolutely not the case (although with the cheating, absolutely) and it does grate to constantly see it. I think it's got a lot to do with Syed's reserved nature and lack of friends. He hasn't had someone as a sounding board who's on his side - a Tam isn't a Roxy, and Tanya was underused in that regard. He's rarely vocalised his problems (cos his self worth is so low, and a lack of accommodation for it on the writer's part).”
Exactly this Poppy. It's not about comparing mistakes or tit for tat as it's sometimes described...but because Syed's are the ones that are always out there...brought painfully and never endingly it feels sometimes

back to slap him repeatedly in the face...so the need to speak up and defend him is greater. He does always face the consequences of what he's done wrong, or is made to. And yet he hasn't always been the one in the wrong and it's incredibly frustrating.
But he's been made to be contrite, written and partly I agree because of who he is... to make less of hurts against him...but it doesn't mean they don't exist for us and inside of him and affect who he is.
Tanyed were underused I agree too and I loved seeing them chatting again....how many great conversations should we have had.

Maybe Syed didn't fancy Max (like Greg!) though so perhaps it cooled off with Tanyed.
