No matter what they've done and how this last story's played out, those two scenes will always epitomise how selfless they both are and their depth of feelings for each other. Proper Chryed!

My favourite scenes are Superman, MQ talk/fight (great writing, acting and in parts funny and heartbreaking too. EE at it's best) and "Let's go home" Oh and the whole of DC week.


Also for Syed, the story was combined with the money problems: the cheque, the trust funds and AB going bankrupt. To steal from your family and then to cheat on your partner makes you look like you don't care about anyone.(with of course is not true)

I can understand that EE thought the only way Syed would cheat is to have his world coming crashing down on him. So made up the family money problems as well as remembering that Chryed were engaged.. But in the eyes of most viewers Syed had cheated on Amira and now on Christian(not the same,but many people think once a cheat always a cheat) And had previous history with money and family. The two stories together was too much for most viewers to have sympathy for Syed.


That's how I feel too.


I watched the wedding a couple of days ago and on it's own is beautiful. They are both so happy and in love and want to be together. Danny was in the past as far as Syed was concerned and the wedding was totally about Chryed. But of course Christian had a right to know the truth and Syed was wrong not to tell him. Especially as the lie for Christian is more hurtful then the deed. But EE and wedding's If we had to have this exit, wish it had been told in a difference order and the CP was the last ep with Chryed looking to the future.

Yeah, had this cheating storyline not included Syed taking money from Tamwar's business and had there been more of a build-up between Syed and Danny - bearing in mind that many casual viewers saw better chemistry between Syed and Danny than they did Chryed - he might have gotten away with it more. A well written story makes a character more forgivable when they've done something wrong.

Listening to Gwen go "please forgive me Rhys, please forgive me, pleeeeeease, please Rhys, please" - and that really is how she was saying it - after giving him the drug that wiped his short-term memory a few minutes later, was the perfect example of how a well-written and well-acted scene involving the show's heroine can make all the difference to how people perceive cheating. ( Gwen is Torchwood's version of Rose Tyler from Doctor Who, very good show if you can past the fact that the heroes aren't likeable )

It's a physical reaction that is natural and instant and I will never ever not feel like that

Possibly the best timing ever because I'm working for 16 hours tomorrow, missing the exit, and have an essay due the next day that I haven't even started.

Favourite overall scene is definitely forehead kiss. That was the moment I knew Christian and Syed were endgame. But, at the same time, it would have been a beautifully bittersweet ending for them. It could have ended right there and it would have been perfect. I'm glad it didn't, for the record but it was so powerful and fitting.

Favourite Syed scene. I'm gonna have to be super boring and say therapy. I'm a sheep. But it was just so great to see all this stuff we'd always known about Syed stated explicitly by the man himself, and so beautifully. Well, I say beautifully, I love how it's all a bit clumsy and very much in the mould of Syed 'I don't express myself well, especially when it comes to emotions' Masood, but the sentiments behind it are gorgeous.

Favourite Christian scene. This is a bit of a weird one, I guess? But I just love him in the episode after therapy. It's just quintessential Christian to me. And I guess I'm cheating a bit saying the whole episode but shush. He's so funny, but uncompromising and honest and, God, he's so hot in this episode :sleep:. Seriously, everything I love about Christian is in this episode. If I was going to try to explain why I love him so much to someone, I'd probably use this.

Can't wait to receive mine, hopefully it'll come tomorrow! Might spend the day basking in all things Chryed.

I was referring to Torchwood, not Doctor Who, unless you knew that. . Welllll, they're not meant to be terribly likeable in series 1, series 2 much much better.

The point still stands though, Gwen was forgiven by most viewers for cheating on Rhys and not telling him because Russell T Davis and his team are 10x the writers that most of the EE ones are. :sleep: EE is just nasty..

I find it hard to believe that for most of the Syed/Danny scenes anyone saw chemistry Where Chryed always have a connection between them. Maybe we all just see what we want to see.

I do think the planning and writing for EE has been very poor and that is the difference between feeling empathy for a character or not, however good the actor is he can only say the words he has been given. Many bad guy's are loved because they are 3D unlike Derek.

Syed: I love, love, love the scene after CAG, where he's praying with Tamwar and Mas joins them, and Syed is crying and trying to hide it. Short, but powerful. This is why I don't understand when people on the MF say that Syed is a bad character and Marc can't act. This scene should be the benchmark for all "I-can't-cope-so-I'm-going-to-cry" scenes.

Christian: Eating the cupcake with Roxy in the cafe. :sleep: I know there's better scenes than that for Christian, and I'm sure we all know by now that I adore Johnny and would watch him in anything, but when asked to sum up Christian Clarke, that scene would do it in a nutshell. Just where he picks up the cupcake, takes a bite, and gives Roxy that hilarious look. Again, short but sweet, and sums up everything about the character.

Syed and Christian: Can I say Bed Scene? I love it so much. If not, then the scene where they're lying on the couch (the nice couch) with Christian stroking Syed's head, and Syed complaining about how different he is to his old friends, and how he doesn't fit in with that high-powered business stuff any more because he's finally become his own person and stopped living the life his parents wanted for him. It also makes me mad to think of this scene, and this simple revelations, and realise that since then and his training to be a masseuse, it's all been forgotten and they've returned him to the life he hated. And made it look like it was all his idea.

Syed and Zainab: in the hospital visiting Tam, when Zainab starts to sing Edelweiss and Syed says "He's been punished enough, mum." or something similar.

Syed and Masood: "Go home and make your own husband miserable". Loved how for the whole episode and the episode before, Mas was insistent that it wasn't a real wedding, but as soon as he was angry at Syed it was, and he and Christian are really husband and husband. That whole scene, hard as it was to watch a father admit he didn't like his son in such an angry way, was excellent for all involved.

Christian and Zainab: spying Syed on the webcam when he was on the date with the stroppy Muslim girl (can't remember her name) right back at the start, before anything happened with Christian. Subtle comedy from both Nina and Johnny with their facial expressions, and it showed their 'frenemy' relationship perfectly.

Christian and Masood: Can't believe I haven't seen this one already! The scene where Christian is finally accepted by the family and Mas tries an Urdu toast, and Christian tries to repeat it. Very funny, and it was so nice to see them back laughing and talking normally!

Syed and Tamwar: Every time Tam supported his brother after it all came out.

Christian and Tamwar: I have no idea: I can't think of one.

Syed and Amira: probably an unpopular choice here, but that scene where Syed tries to have sex with her before their marriage. Uncomfortable viewing, but extremely powerful.

Christian and Amira: in the Masala Queen unit, the Monday after Christian and Syed first kissed, when Christian tells Amira that he met someone, they got off together, but the guy turned cold on him. I love that scene for some twisted reason...

Christian and Roxy: I remember a scene where Christian was pissed off his head and Roxy was trying to talk to Ronnie - Ronnie was about to come clean about stealing baby Tommy - and he walks in and demands she give him attention. It was hilarious and I think Johnny plays drunk and petulant to perfection!
