This I did have to wait to see Romney's concession speech before going to bed, to make sure it had really happened.

I just feel really removed from the story at the moment. It just feels like one plot device after another, nothing flows or feels even half believable. I hate the feeling that I am now just waiting for Chryed to leave, so I can stop watching EE. Never mind, still have classic Chryed.

I agree with your earlier post, I would have taken tragic death over this storyline in a heartbeat.

I think it's the story. There is only so much ranting people can do before they depress themselves.

I expect most people are now waiting until thier final episode to see if Chryed could be redeemed in anyway.

Of course I expect activity after every episode that airs before then.

I think the way Chryed have been treated over the last two years, has been hard for everyone to accept.

I did not post yesterday because I could not think of anything positive to say.

Glad you liked the story, LoveChryed. I might possibly be writing more of it. Maybe.

ETA: Maybe Amira will take Yasmin to this while Chryed are on their visit to the States. http://www.womanandhome.com/news-and...omes-to-the-uk

Not getting my hopes up, I've learnt my lesson

Upon rewatch I've noticed the cupboard which contained the coffee pot has a set of salt and pepper mills in it. This in addition to the dozen or so sets out on their worktop. Either Chryed have serious seasoning issues (alongside their caffeine/ kettle addiction), their family and friends were extremely unimaginative with housewarming gifts or this is some kind of inside joke with the props people.

My money is on it being Tanya. I'd like to think tptb would realise Chryed deserve the duff duff, or rather Julia's theme....but then this is EE we're talking about

Hi there, hope everyone's had a good day.
Before I forget, I wanted to mention abit more about the Canadian broadcasts of EE, on Vision TV(which ironically, has a history of being a religious channel), which are currently about 2 1/4 years behind the UK episodes. The other night LovelyLaura mentioned that it might be a good thing they are so far behihnd, because now I can still watch Chryed for a long time and see all the good bits, too, lol. I've definitely thought of this and look forward even more to the Mon-Fri ep on TV or watching them at the Vision online site, where they have about 7-8 months available at all times. This will also give me a chance to catch up on other plots I hadn't really known about. The last few weeks has been all the stuff with Lucas going mad and keeping Denise in the cellar, etc. Also all the funny scenes where Pat has moved into the Vic with Peggy.
Anyway, a wonderful coincidence of timing with these Cdn eps. is that on October 16, while Chyred got married on UK ep, the Cdn ep. featured the Let's go home ep, with Syed finally leaving home for Christian. It was such a lovely coincidence, I had to tweet Johnny and let him know I was using extra tissues that day. Plus I think that is my most fave Chryed scene, or at least in the top three, lol.
The downside of the Cdn eps is that I now understand what you all mean about those horrible gaps in time when there is no Chryed for weeks on end! At least I have YT clips to go if I need a Chryed hit!

Tis true. After the shambles of Syed cheating, them not having the final scene would not shock me in the slightest.

Yesterday Spain's High Court (or equivalent, don't know what's the right translation for "Tribunal Constitucional"), a group of old people usually as old-fashioned and conservative as... well, something very old-fashioned and conservative, and after a few years of deliberation, decided that the word/concept "marriage" was right constitutionally to refer to the legal union of gay couples, not only restricted to man and woman, against the appeal of our currently ruling party, who were saying that it wasn't marriage, after the former government legalized gay marriage a few years ago. About time those guys got something right!

I hope Chryed do get the duff duff/JT. It would be very wrong for a well loved couple to leave without being given the last scene of the ep.

Hi, what a coincidence for Let's go home to be shown in Canada on the same day the wedding was shown on UK TV. I love the reunion scene What are your other two fav scenes?

Perhaps I can offer some help. Currently same sex couples can legally marry in Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maryland, the District of Columbia, Iowa, and Washington state.

Here marriage laws are written at the state level and the federal government generally recognizes them for purposes of citizenship, filing taxes jointly, and other federal legal matters. Because of the so-called "Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA)" enacted by the federal government in the 1990's, same-sex marriages are not recognized at the federal level. However, DOMA has now been declared unconstitutional by three regional federal courts, and it seems quite likely that it will be overturned by the U.S. Supreme Court in the next few years.

I'd suggest that your friend get in touch with my former employer, Gay & Lesbian Advocates & Defenders (GLAD--www.glad.org) in Boston to ask about foreign nationals marrying as a same-sex couple in the U.S. They would know the legal ins and outs of that.

Of course same sex marriage is also legal in all of Canada, and they generally have MUCH better politics than we do!

ETA: As an interesting aside, prior to our Civil War in the 1860's one usually said "The United States are..." when speaking of the country. After the Civil War that usage changed to "The United States is..."

Thank you I can't remember the last time EE shocked me in a good way  They deserve the final scene in their last episode and I'd have hated them to not be at the top of their final cast list /too many "finals" in that sentence
