Still got Seal's version of SBM on a loop. I wouldn't have liked the re-working but it fits with Chryed's uplifting exit so well I'm kind of hooked.

So I was fine today.........

Then I decided I needed to re-watch. Suddenly at their very last scene

I saw our beautiful boys walk out of Walford, our Syed and our Christian, our Marc and our Johnny... So happy and so ready for whatever life is going to bring them next... and I felt so happy, so relieved for them and at the same time so sad to see them go.....

And I started blubbing.....big time.

I promised my parents a visit today, so I pulled myself together, got in the car and drove over - telling myself I couldn't cry anymore to avoid awkward questions from the folks.... I was doing fine......

Then two minutes before I arrived, the radio started playing "Have a little faith in me" in my all time favourite original version of John Hiatt (raw, emotional, gutwrenchingly beautiful... I saw him doing that live once... it was... aargh.. so goood.) and... well, guess what?

I started sobbing... again.... big time....

Managed to fob the parents off by saying I had a bit of a sneeze attack just before arriving... but I don't know if they bought it... Never mind...

So anyway...

OMG Zoetjetoch I LOOOOOOOOVE that song....but I had forgotten all about it It was also in this film Benny and Joon with Johnny Depp! Ah I love it, can't believe I haven't listened to it in so long!! So perfect for Chryed!!!

Just listened to that song after so many years.

And in tears because it was a song that reminds me of my old school friends who I lost because of my depression.

Still love it though, but makes me all emotional

I knowwww... I've always been very emotional about this song, something about the lyrics in combination with that raw John Hiatt voice ...goosebumps each time, and yeah, quite a tear or two. I remember sad moments in r/l, blubbing away at it... But like you I hadn't thought about this song myself for a long time, and then today..... well... I suddenly really heard the lyrics again and ... well they fit, don't they, and ... yeah.....

Oh hun sorry, didn't mean to make you cry... (((((hugs))))) - I have sad memories attached to it too...

I think today is the day it's really hit me that the boys have gone from our screens.... But I take so much comfort from last weekend, meeting Marc, knowing how happy he is with his choices, to see it re-confirmed how talented he is, and to know with every fibre of my body that he's got a wonderful life and carreer ahead of him. And I take so much comfort from what's coming next, Panto and everything else, and hopefully meeting Johnny again, and seeing his tweets, and all that... and knowing again, with absolute conviction, that that Johnny star is going to keep on shining brightly .. And that for both of them, WE are going to be there and share it with them, support them every step of the way...
And then there's all of you guys... gosh, you have no idea what comfort it is to know you're all there. I can't even begin to explain what difference all this has made to my life. It's opened my eyes to so many new things, and views and experiences, and I don't care if other people think this is sad or shallow or whatever, because I know it isn't...
Chryedians rock - and we will continue to for a long time to come.

By now I've met a few Chryedians who are nearly (but not quite) a match to our indecisiveness (you know who you are ) and though it took us ages to sort out the arrangements...far tooooo many decisions to make!!!!... and it was by far one of the scariest things I've ever done.... it was so, so worth it...

Yep, know people are a bit emotional and some might not be ready to do it yet, so giving you all a few weeks. Might even take it up to Christmas, but let's say mid-December for now - will pick a closing date when I see what my own December schedule looks like.

Yeah... toooo many decisions it's frightning. It's been ages since I've done a survey.... I'll give it a go in a week or two I think...No guarantees though.

I missed our first rehearsal with the complete set....... it was on Thursday :sleep: :sleep: There was just NO way I was going to miss Chryed's last ep live - so I just said I couldn't go, that had something else on, that I couldn't get out of.. .. not a lie... but.... Felt guilty, and now worried... There's one scene in the middle of it where I have to drink, eat, have the giggles .. AND say lines at the same time, and it's pretty rubbish at the moment. I have so much admiration for real actors who manage to pull these things off.... Timing, timing, timing.......

Thanks Dessie - if I find the... err.. decisiveness to do it, it won't be before that for me I'm afraid - too much going on in r/l in the next few weeks... But I'll give it a go as soon as...
