Time to reflect.
In EE life--wonderful that two damaged and troubled souls have found each other to share a life with,with all the baggage each bring along.
In r/l-promise of great things in the future for both,or so I hope.
Personally--gratitude for 3yrs of exceptional drama,great performances and amazing camaraderie in this place.It,s been a great experience,on many levels,and I just wanted to say--Thank You --to everyone,real and imagined,for the like we will not see again.

Hi anyone lurking I haven't really posted cos I haven't been feeling quite as positive as everyone else on here and didn't want to bring the mood down.

I have re-watched tonight. I'm starting to get *my* Chryed back - sort of. I actually think I liked the post nookie chat (other than for shallow reasons). On second watch, when Christian sort of seemingly agrees with Syed's lamentations (on loving the good times, but hating having to go through the pain of getting there and wanting to just remember the 'perfect' moment), Syed's face does look like he's thinking, "oh, bugger...I didn't really mean that!". He definitely looked a bit worried. It reminded me of when he told Christian he had to stay with Amira (at the flat warming when he thought she was pregnant, before the reveal) and then she told him she wasn't and that they needed to try again right there and then. He had the same, "Oh ****, what have I done" look. So, that has cheered me.

I also love the classic look from Tamwar, when Mas says to Zee that he wouldn't have her any other way....absolutely classic Tam

That's all I've got to offer so far....I'll watch again.

Sorry you couldn't find much to take with you from the last ep, but glad it's going in the right direction at least. And glad your getting your Chryed back. I've somehow managed to keep mine intact through all of this. I must be really good at detatching/comparmentalizing stuff or something...
And I got that too, when Christian's said his "So this is it? This is where it ends?" (not exact quote I think but still) and kissed his temple, he really looks like that. It was never going to happen though, they were always going to choose each other.

In other news; am watching the "Emma"-adaptation from 2009 (I think) and I really like it.
This is actually kind of on topic cos it indirectly led me to Chryed. I watched this "Emma" on Swedish television over Christmas and New Years 2010/11 and I liked it so much that when it was finished I wanted to see more of it. This led to me searching for it on internet, and that in turn led me to search for other films/TV programmes on youtube and suchlikes. Which eventually led me to Chryed. / Everything can be linked to Chryed. If not, you haven't tried enough.

Aint going to lie, the waterworks have been on and off today for me (like it was yday and the day before). AHHH I'm deffo missing our boys but I guess we know their happy and more to the point that Marc and Johnny are able to find other exciting avenues where their incredible talents are appreciated. (For old times sake- *shakes fist* at tptb for their poor treatment towards them in the last 2 years).

I guess Chryed must have arrived and spent a day in America already. Syed would have finally meet Linda in person and he was initially shy but Christian presented him proudly to his mum. Also, Jane has noticed that their dynamic has changed slightly as Chryed have decided to take building their relationship slowly and are careful around each other but she can still see that the pure, soul-consuming love and passion remains ever stronger for one another. It is written in their eyes, face and smiles etc as they enjoy each other company once more and their renewed hope and honesty shines through to. ETA: They've also skyped chat Yasmin to see how their little girl is doing.

Anyway, I haven't re-watched the ep just yet...because I know I will cry even more then I already am but will do soon.

I haven't actually cried yet (I rarely do at all), but I'm expecting to be swallowed by a huge sense of emptiness pretty soonish...

Am totally with you on being happy that Chryed are happy, rebuilding their relationship in peace and quiet, far away form TPTB and Walford. And likewise for Ellitridge. And I will happily shake my fist with you at TPTB for what they've done in the last two years. I could even go so far as to shake both my fists at them just for good measure.

And Yep to all of that going on in Florida right now (it's Florida, right?). Syed will find Linda a bit much at times, but she will laarve him. And she will tell him all kinds of embarrassing childhood/early teens-stories about Christian, so it's all good. And Jane will sense something, but will see the underlying love and contentment and will occasionally do her happy-dance for the two adorkable numpties.

Rewatch when you feel ready. (((hugs again)))

I have rewatched the ep more than once and it does get better. The first time I watched naturally I and everyone was on tenderhooks. I really didn't think they would go off into the sunset. Not Eastenders and when I read about Marc saying in a interview the fans might not be 100 per cent happy I prepared myself....... What do you think he meant by that?

In Australia they are still on our screens and we are up to Syed kissing Danny at the bar. Joy. At least I can watch it knowing the ending so it wll be easier to watch.

Today I feel fine but who knows when it kicks in. I know I am not ready to do a survey yet too raw but thank you Elphie in sharing your answers. It reminds us how great those 31/2 years were. Thank you Dessie for organizing this.

I too have watched the last ep a few times I thought we would get the happy ending, but was worried how it was going to play out with screen time, and making sense of the exit storyline, which had been such a mess. I think Marc,Johnny and Pete were just trying to build up the suspense. Or Marc could have been talking about the whole exit story?

I think when I do my big re watch, I will pretend the Danny story never happened, or Amira's return second time round!

Quick visit to drop off some fic. Its quite long and this looks like it might develop into a quirky series-type thing of sorts, we shall see.

Just popping in to say hi again

I've been feeling incredibly bitter towards TPTB today (pointless as there's nothing I can do to change what happened!) so thought I'd come here and remember some of the good times and what Chryed has done for me When I first joined the thread just over two years ago I had absolutely no idea what I was letting myself in for, but I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions I ever made. I was a bit of a mess back then but making friends with all you lovely Chryedians and later meeting you all and going to all Johnny and Marc's things with you has helped me so much, I can't even begin to explain it. I've started going out again and increasing in confidence for the first time since it was severely knocked by my experiences at uni. I also went back to uni for my final year, stuck it out with the help of people I'd met on the thread and graduated in September with a 2:1 - something which I doubt I'd have been able to do otherwise. You all rock.

Chryed themselves have also had a profound effect on my life, teaching me that going against the grain and following your heart can change you for the better. Just because you're one thing doesn't mean you can't be something else too, no matter what people tell you. Just keep on pushing and it'll all be worth it. And that love and acceptance are the most important things in life. I'm never going to forget what these characters and the fandom have taught me.

And of course a huge thank you to Marc and Johnny for not only putting in such fantastic performances that we all truly believed in Chryed, but for continually being SO lovely to the fans and making us all feel special. There aren't many celebs who are so kind and grateful for all the support their fans give them.

Mads, beautiful vid and beautiful comment. I think Chryed have changed our lives in a lot of ways.

I've done and did things that I never thought I would. The Chryed story has inspired me to do it. It just goes to show that fiction doesn't always have a negative influence. Sometimes, good can come out of it and I do think that's what the Chryed story achieved for lots of people, for lots of different reasons. This has been reflected in our discussions, here on this thread, but also at ChryedCon.

It's been three days since thier exit and I'm no longer angry or bitter. Of course it doesn't change how I feel. I'll be ranting about this at some point again, I'm sure but I'm now in the place where I can let of the tripe of the last couple of years, more so the last couple of months. I think Chryed leaving have a lot to do with it. They've moved on, which has enabled me to. If they were still on the show, I'd be cussing, ranting, hating how they're being destoryed but its not something I have to worry about anymore. If anything, Chryed leaving has given me calm and peace. I can just remember this amazing story that EE gave us and how it brought me to this wonderful community.

... and there is so much to come!

We have Panto next year and I know many of you are meeting for Johnny's hippodrome (which I can't afford) but I'm sure there will be plenty more events after that.

Chryed are gone but they will live on in our memories and our friendships.

I think it's easier to let go in the knowledge that TPTB can't do anything more now. They're in our hands now! There's part of me that craves to see what the next stage of their journey entails, but a bigger part of me recognises that it was time to end their story. Johnny and Marc are now free to find the work that their talent deserves.

I too want to say farewell for now. This has been an extraordinary 3 1/2 years, both for the story and for the encounters here on our forum. We have had our highs and lows, our purring and our dramas, but that is all in the past. Thanks to all of you who said hello, who engaged with my posts, who made videos, wrote fiction, sent pms, all of it.

I have written to delete my account - guess they will get that request tomorrow. In some ways, this is good, as I might do other things and finish my work.

I am not so into pantos and the like, but who knows, I may see some of you when we hear that Marc is in a new play. I may write some fiction, and will definitely look forward to reading some. But for now, Chryed have 'got it on' and I am off to get it on, too.!

ETA: We haven't spoken much, but I'll be sad to see you go, Heartsick. But yes, Chryed is off to get it on, and so should you be, so it's all good. Please write some fic if/when inspiration finds you. And most of all, be well and have many, many fabulous times! And yes, you no longer have to feel Heartsick for them. Take care of you.

In fact, I won't be watching any soaps: I only watched Corrie because it was on before EE, and Fair City because it was after EE. Take away EE, and I've taken away any reason I had to watch the other two! Extra time for Los Kav!
