But it really annoys me too. Christian and Syed have been wonderful parents to Yasmin. And, yeah, they're not the most stable household (well, households) right now but they're still a hundred times more stable than Amira 'Flits Off On Extended Holiday For Months Before Her Daughter is 2' Shah and Mr. 'Someone'. And Syed might have a low opinion of himself, but how can he possibly think that arrangement is better for his daughter when she has been perfectly happy for the past few months with them?”
This. I said it before and I'll say it again. I really don't know how ANY mother can leave their 1 year old to go travelling for months. I can understand a week or two but even then mothers miss their children. I'm not a mum but when my mum had to go Germany for her sisters wedding when I was little, she couldn’t take me and my sisters with her but went. However she booked herself an earlier flight to get home. She was meant to be away for two weeks but she came back in one. However to leave your one year old for months, and then to return making demands....
I find it off.
Amira does deserve happiness, don't get me wrong here and I'm pleased she's moving on but I think it's rich that she can use Christian and Syed as babysitters when she wants, also her daughter forming attachments and bonds in the process, and then return wanting her daughter because she's found love.
What ever happened to what's best for Yasmin? She's already been moved in her very small life and now she's going to be moved again...only this time it will be different. She's established bonds with Christian, Syed, her grandparents, her uncles and Kamil, her cousin. As we saw during yesterdays episode, she referred to Christian as "daddy". Now contact is going to be extremely limited. She'll have a new daddy (a stranger) and move to a strange city where she'll know no one, except her mother, who lets face it has hardly been there either.
