Also, seriously so far we had Masood, Zainab (maybe Tam) and I think even Amira telling Sy to fight for his man. I think Roxy gave him the best advice though by telling Syed to think carefully and properly decide what he wants before he tries to speak to Christian.
BiB: That's true. Have we slipped into the Twilight Zone while I've been ranting about Friday's rubbishness?!

Loved Roxy tonight though. Didn't let Syed off the hook but didn't rave at him either- didn't tell him to stay away from Christian forever, just until he gets his head sorted, because she knows having Syed back is all Christian wants. They've properly sorted Chroxy out, it's good. But, er, I'd happily have settled for terrible Chroxy for a half-decent exit storyline it must be said.

For all Amira knows of this randomer that she's decided to get with, probably cos he's rich, he could violent and abusive. But does she consider Yasmin in all this, no, just marry some random bloke and take Yasmin away from a happy stable home to create a family unit which Amira thinks will make her happy but it won't because I don't think Amira is capable of human emotion, all she cares about is herself. If she cared about Yasmin at all she wouldn't take her away from her dad's.
Amira rushing into romance and marriage is in character for her, she can't go back to the Masoods or her father and she needs someone to lean on and take care of her. Besides with her wonderful father telling her she was tainted she would probably jump at anyone who would provide for her, accept her and the baby.

I don't think you can criticise a mother for wanting to have her daughter back, but I do think Syed's suggestion of introducing her new husband into Yasmin's life slowly was sensible and practical.

I am glad he is happy for her - but wouldn't the first you would expect that he would ask something about him.- what his name is, what does he do?

hey all,

congrats MH!!!!

Saw the episode. EE are so 'kind' aren't they? They give us Roxy having a go at Syed and Amira re-return in the same ep :sleep:/sarcastic - well tbh neither of the scenes were that bad.
Amira leaves on Thursday doesn't she?

Bit of foreshadowing there when Syed asked Roxy if Christian left the square.

I see Kat and Syed both got a scene together  both sinners married to saints and both suffered from BK's character assassinations. The bit about parenthood and prison was a bit odd for Syed but I guess it's true. Maybe his slowly realising that what he thought he felt trapped in was actually the best thing for him i.e. marriage and Christian.

Zainab annoyed me and once again her deciding to leave was another thing that EE didn't really explain in this s/l because I thought Masood chucked her out.

I have to say EE aren't really engaging the audience with this s/l well that's my opinion as I feel like I'm just making do and settling for scraps

Also, seriously so far we had Masood, Zainab (maybe Tam) and I think even Amira telling Sy to fight for his man. I think Roxy gave him the best advice though by telling Syed to think carefully and properly decide what he wants before he tries to speak to Christian.
BIB: And judging by the odd Kat conversation and the startof trying to stay stuff on the phone to C, he had thought about it and he was getting somewhere, but now she's back and she'll bring back the old guilt and set him back when he was making progress.

Urghhh annoying Amira to the end

I don't think anyone's criticising her for wanting Yasmin back- we're criticising her for taking her daughter away from a stable home (well, as far as she knows!) with a guy who she can only have known for a few weeks. I think it would've worked much better if Amira had gotten a career somewhere and wanted to settle down there, with Yasmin, now she's sorted herself out. Bringing in the strange man who is sooo eager to raise a child he hasn't met has some seriously creepy overtones. Or they should have started mentioning him earlier. Maybe when Amira was dropping Yasmin off on Syed at the last minute they could've said it was because her new man?

'Fraid I have always been a Chroxy fan - even thought they can bring the worst out in each other - and yes she is growing up.

Syed's getting a lot of good advice .....

I don't think you can blame Amira for wanting her back but equally Syed and Christian's role in her life needed to be considered. She almost swanned in and expected Syed to accept and agree to her conditions and that's what i didn't like.

Awww I hope so!

It would describe what Chryed will do a lot of once they leave

The 2 of them 69
LMFAO!

Maybe that can be your task? To get to the next one before Thursday. Should be doable, you have 2 days.
Challenged accepted!

Yup and he has every right to ask those questions and I hope he does.

I know Christian was also a stranger to Yasmin (Syed too) when she first came into thier lives. Difference is that Amira knew both of them. Ok, she probably hasn't got a good thing to say about Christian, and I don't blame her, but there is no denying he is good with children. She's seen how he's been with Amy and Lucy.

This bloke that Amira has however, we don't know him from Adam and really, neither does Amira.

It doesn't help that Yasmin has already bonded with two of her fathers and calls them her 'daddies'. Now she's going to be taken from them.

The best thing FOR Yasmin, is to keep her where she is and for Amira and her new hubby to move to London. They don't even have to move to Walford but with in the facinity of London - just to keep things stable for Yasmin.

However of course I know the plot doesn't call for that because Chryed are leaving.

Okay, OT, but I had to laugh at this:

'With her lover arranging for Alfie to go away for a few days, Kat worries that alone she may not be able to resist him.'
Does no-one in Walford have control over their own genitals?! And, seriously, if it is Derek like everyone thinks Kat needs her head examining for being powerless with lust.

So glad I'm done with this show from next week.

But she cant live her life around her ex. It hasn't been that long that Yasmin has been with them - she should make the transition slowly as Syed suggests so that Yasmin can get to know him.

Anyway - its not that far away they can't visit - oh wait I forgot it is impossible to keep touch between Walford and Cardiff so maybe she is going to the other side of the world!

Amira doesn't have to move to Walford though. She can just move somewhere in London.

My main concern is Yasmin being taken out of her surroundings and losing the links to those she's bonded with.

I know Christian and Syed can visit. Birmingham isn't far but still distance does reduce contact, not only with Chryed but her extended family. Yasmin is going to have a really hard time adapting and I don't think it's fair on her at all.

Syed comment about feeling like he was in prison was weird. So he feels tied down with Christian and Yasmin basically?

Well Christian has left and Yasmin is on the way out the door so soon he can be foot loose and fancy free.
He's realised it's not a prison though, and he wants it all Christian and Yasmin.

He is going to be fancy free though.

I agree. The new husband should come down and be introduced and spend a day with her.

Several times perhaps, and then Yasmin can go up for a couple of weekends, and then stay with Amira and be with her fathers every weekend, and then every other weekend.

Or some version of the above.

It's not hard.

But he followed it up by saying that he wanted to throw away the key. So I think he's saying he felt suffocated before but he's realised that he's actually really lucky? Only took him actually losing Christian to realise it, though. What a numpty.

It was a very odd scene I don't think we can take much from it. Marc's delivery was bizarre. Presumably because he was wtfing over it too.
Yeah it was all very strange. Also maybe my tv but he seemed to be speaking really loudly during the whole scene

*high fives for us* Tonight, the unexpected happened: my mum, who has watched EE for as long as I know, got up and left halfway through an episode because (and I quote) "I can't be doing with this shite.".

Are we still passing this baton? Because Chryed are hot. They are F.A.F.

No, he was talking loudly! It was so weird. Perhaps he couldn't hear himself over Kat's outfit.

My headcanon is: holiday in states, Syed meet the inlaws, time focussing on them as a couple, move back to UK, open their own gym and massage business together in Brum, move into a lovely house, have regular contact with Yasmin, Amira gets bored, Yasmin goes back to live with her dad's

Simples
