I think Brendan would be pretty edgy when it came to Ste being around other gay men, especially Doug, but not because he doesn't trust Ste, but he just wouldn't like it, them eyeing up Ste or something.

Oh, I'm not complaining.... far from it, it's just that I can't comprehend it, but I'd take it on board and love it completely, especially if there was a back story to it, i.e. Brendan telling Ste he secretly wants to see a particular musical/play, but not on his own, so casually asks if he'll come with him.

Decided to watch the updated Stendan kisses slowed down.... it's not doing much to calm down my inner fangirl. Dear me....

Yeah, that's exactly how I've always seen it. Brendan wouldn't be worried about Ste cheating on him, at least he wasn't in the past, but more of people coming onto Ste and not being happy about it, Maybe when their in a proper relationship he might get a bit funny, but he won't be so openly insecure about it like Doug is. Like if Ste said a guy was hot Brendan might be snarky and go 'Well why don't you make him your boyfriend' and that's it.

Ste is the jealous one though, but it only seems to be with Brendan? He loathed Mitzeee, he was funny about Macca and he got angry about Pete being a possible ex.

I don't think they'll have that many trust issues when their together though,

Oh, I know, and your spot on there, BH! I've got all sorts of ideas as to what Dublin is going to be like, but trying not to think too hard as not to be dissapointed, but I can't see that happening. I'm dying to know how they come to hand hold as that photo is just so adorable, cute and hot. Seeing Brendan being THAT free will be amazing, and I'll probably shed a tear or two just at that scene.

Oh, and as for Pa.... DREADING it! I've got lots of ideas of how I want Pa to be - a charmer, with a bit of swag, one that gets the ladies looking/taking, knows all the right things to say, but then, turns into the ultimate bar steward to Brendan behind closed doors because that's what he's REALLY like.

Oh what I'd give to see Ste sass someone for coming on to Brendan For all his jealous urges he never actually got to sass anyone- not even Macca!

But yeah I agree, I think Brendan would be a little more low-key about any jealousy he might feel. It's funny though but I just think Brendan is a reserved guy. I think him not showing emotion is -to an extent- part of his character. Some people just don't openly show their emotions and find it harder than other people. I still think Brendan would show it if he was jealous though, more-so now than before if he actually got involved with Ste in a real relationship.

I can imagine Pa having a go at Brendan about Ste and Brendan possibly pulling away from Ste during the whole thing. I think Ste will pretty much force himself into Brendan's life to help him during the Pa stuff, because Brendan will be so ready to push him away and regress.

I agree with you, there! I believe that Brendan's only the man he is because of Pa and what he did to him. I'm not saying he'd be a saint even with a good upbringing, but I do blame Pa for all the bad things Brendan has done as it's always been in his head.

Yes, I can imagine that. After Dublin, Brendan will hopefully be on top of the world, having been out and proud with Ste, then everything will come crashing down when Pa arrives, leaving Brendan crushed, messed up and probably doubting himself, his love for Ste and having those feelings of self-loathing once again because of what Pa may say/do. But by then, he & Ste would have talked, so he will hopefully know all about Pa, and will know when to intervene. I've got so many theories on what may happen, and what I want to happen, so I hope ES will have given us what's appropriate and what we all want so much.

I really can't wait until we start getting Dublin spoilers or like, a proper mention of it somewhere

Aww, I know what you mean. I kinda don't want any spoilers as it might spoil what's already in my head! I know I can't zone out of it unless I don't use the laptop for however long they're released before the episode(s) air, but I want to be surprised for the first time in my Stendan-related life!

I'll keep looking at my SoapLife and All About Soap issues to see & know that it IS happening. And it's happening soon.

I mean, as gorgeous and as tear-jerking as those photos are in the soap mags, they're the press ones from at the time, so to have actual news about the episode(s) will be amazing and proof it's really happening and that's it's not a you-know-what!

Still can't believe it, to be honest.... not ONLY are we getting a reunited Stendan after all this angst, but in bloody Dublin of all places - Brendan's home & a generally amazing city. It's like Christmas has come early. It's like they're giving us one massive, choccie-filled cake and letting us eat it ALL, guilt free!
