Isn't it amazing? I just had to share because it made me smile so much when I read it again.

If you ever have such a horrendous idea again, could you please just keep it to yourself next time? You never know who might be reading.

Indeed. Over a year later, and I still believe that more than ever.

Just knowing that what they're filming these days is Stendan together and the Pa drama...

And I still can't place that Stendan in The Dog scene. If it's not post-Dublin, it must happen when Brendan gets back on Friday, or after Ste recovers and before Brendan's left for Ireland.

And I'm starting to doubt again how associated Ste and Doug will remain after the breakup. So much is up in the air right now.

Sorry lulu. In my defence, we all joked on here that Doug was gay or bi. But at the time, it seemed like the writers still had some grip on reality.

Is there any reason why no-one is considering Cheryl as a possible casualty of the Wedding from Hell?

Just out of interest, when did Brendan have a scene with Esther? I know he had a brief one with Jason but I don't remember one with her. :/

It was ages ago. I can't remember why, but he made her clean the toilets with a toothbrush.

Probably because she's been conspicuously absent from any promo/press on the accident.

I can't imagine she'd be injured too seriously, as having both her and Ste in a bad state might just push Brendan over the edge.

I can't remember why, but he asked her to clean the Chez Chez toilets. With a toothbrush.

Didn't Esther steal and then break booze from Chez Chez?

I never want to have a long catch up where it's all about Doug ever again . I'm with C&S and Sarah on the Grange Hill/Glee esque girly romance melodrama. I never want to see Doug crying again either.

From his interview it is not looking good for a non crying Doug next week, in fact the rush of his tears might well put the fire out by the sounds of it.

Funnily enough, I was thinking the same myself. I don't think she will though.

Absolutely ages ago, yes. Like March 2011 or something.

Tough. See: next week, and the week after that. And the week after that ...

For Brendan's sake, I hope not. Otherwise I wouldn't be too bothered. Never thought I would say that.

Re the possibility of Tony and Jacqui reuniting, I had started to wonder about Tony and Cheryl at some point.

Never mind the crying, I'm finding Doug's face actually unbearable to look at.

And it makes me feel like such a melodramatic, OTT fangirl but I can't look at it without wanting to throw something, preferably him, through the TV.

It's not healthy and I make no justifications for it, lurkers/judges of our souls.

Speaking of casualties, I keep thinking about the force Ste's going to be hit with when the minibus ploughs into him. It makes me shudder.

ETA: If it makes you feel better, Duckmoo, you're not alone.

Helloooo!

I bought Charlie Casanova today. I've been meaning to but just never got round to it, but I walked past HMV today and was reminded. My aunti (not the converted Stendan shipper) rolled her eyes.

But yeah, I can't wait to watch it.

I'm already bracing myself for the tsunami that's gonna come out of Doug's eyes next week. I'm scared

I'm so excited, Bonnie
I'm really curious about the Dog scene. Perhaps it's post-Dublin?
BIB: I truly have no idea. If the temporary amnesia scenario is gonna happen then I don't see Ste forgiving him anytime soon. It's truly a step too far.

I'm sorry to say I've reached that point. Stay away from the main DS soaps page.

BIB - I'll second that. I can't stand the very sight of his snivelling, lip-trembling, yet self-righteous face. I particularly hate when he suddenly finds the courage to front up to Brendan a) when Brendan is in a weakened state and/or b) when Doug has his little gang behind him.

I watched CC. I'm not sure if I could say I enjoyed it exactly. It's not particularly an enjoyable film, but it is compelling, and Emmett's central performance is a real tour de force. He carries the whole film. Like others, I wondered if it would feel like watching Brendan, but it doesn't. There are certain superficial similarities, of course, but Charlie has none of Brendan's warmth, humour, vulnerability, humanity - all the things that make Brendan so lovable. I had wondered if it was even possible for Emmett to portray an unsympathetic character - given that Brendan was originally expected to be the most hated man in Britain but ended up almost universally loved, just through the force of Emmett's talent and personal charisma - but yes, he can. As someone else said, even his voice sounds different. It really brought home to me how lucky we are to have had him in Hollyoaks for as long as we have. I really don't want him to leave but, for his own sake, he must.

Can I ask, did we ever get any indication that Brendan tries to tell Ste how he feels before the wedding?

I thought we did, because of the speculation that he'd get arrested so he couldn't do so, but obviously now we know that's not the case since Doug only gets the confession right before the wedding. Or am I mistaken?
