Their isnt going to be a 5th single.

I am glad their wont be TBH as I doubt it would have gone top twenty and you know would have a field day :yawn: and it would destroy the top 20 record the girls have. The next single will be Single 1 from album 2.

If their was going to be a 5th single I would agree with you that Going Nowhere would be a good choice for a single.

There are occasions when groups/bands might put out a single between albums, doesn't seem to happen as much nowadays.

dont you guys think we should post there and tell people to come over here? I think most of them would do so, I cant stand the main forum anymore and by doing this we would avoid having to check both forums without missing out any post

I reckon I'll be relocating here too (well as an avid lurker, I rarely post.

) I already have Oliver and the likes on ignore, but others seem to have an issue in not responding to his obvious goading attempts. Besides, it's somewhat nostalgic I guess, reminds me of their X Factor journey and everyone fretting on a Sunday wondering if they were through or not!

Shame about CV, his/her posts are always very insightful.

I only post every once in a while in the thread but like you guys, I'll think I'll post in here.

Just wanted to say, you all do a fantastic job supporting the girls (I should really support them more often) and I can always keep up with all of their going on's because of the thread so thanks.

I loved reading this thread during TXF and was a long term lurker every day. Loved the reactions here on the Sundays when the girls got through which made me sign up. Would have loved to have joined in TXF talk but I joined on 23 December 2011 I think? so missed out posting during it. And you say everyone a good number of TXF mixers dont post any more on here! Lol

Ugh why have these girls done so badly in the US - I thought they have a really good fan base over there? And there are the obsessive 1D fans too who would like LM because of the connection....so I don't understand...and they've had so much PR there...

sorry I dont know what PR means haha but I think tv appearances are essential and they didnt have any... I mean Demi went to a ton of shows, Selena went to a lot also and their singles rocketed so if Glee made the song go into the 40's, I think a tv appearance could get them really high but it would work bette if it was during this momentum

I wouldn't call going there for 3 weeks PR....having much PR was making sure that they were on every website, radio, TV appearances, magazines, guest appearance on music videos .... but it seems like the Promo is coming out end of May/ beginning of June time. That's when the PR starts

I don't know if it will work....they normally take their biggest hit on Wednesdays......

I honestly thought they would have gone the Cher Lloyd route by spending months in the US. There was kinda no point of them releasing HYD here......I'm just hoping for top 40 at least.... They need to spend more time instead off a week here and three weeks later a week over there because they tend to lose momentum everytime they gain it.... IMO

It takes about six months for a song to build kind of. Unless you have a core core core fanbase in US. So I think August would give a better indication how well it has done

Haven't been on this forum much lately but I guess I'll start posting here from now on as well, can't stand the DT anymore. Anyway as I've been busy I haven't been able to keep up with the girls schedules, can someone give a brief update about what's coming up next please?

Also about the upcoming US trip, it seems to me it's mainly about the Mixers Magnet events, so I'm not expecting much tbh. Are their any TV appearances scheduled so far?

Btw here's the Youtube view counts for the music videos if anyone's interested (this is the only thing I'm still keeping track on

I was kinda hoping they would have. I mean, the song fits more into the American market then it has here. But it seems like they are solely concentrating on Wings and the album

Oh sorry i meant in the UK, there was not really point releasing it here in the UK. Sorry forgot that there other people based not in the UK....

lol I read it wrong, thought you was on about them releasing it in America.

But I agree, it hasn't really done as much as we would have liked for them(apart from Jesy getting the chance to say she featured on a track with Missy) it hasn't given them that extra boost we thought it would.

So it would have worked out better if they spent the time over in the US.. a few months. Maybe even releasing HYD as a 2nd single out there, instead of releasing it here in the UK. That way it would have made the American mixers feel 'special' I dunno, something different.

I know we all expected How Ya Doin to do well because of the single mix and Missy Elliot feature but does Single 4 from any album do better than what HYD has done?

I dont think so? Top 20 is probably the maximum it goes? we may all have expected to much lol

As in the video ratings list Nooneo posted above HYD is trailling behind the other 3 quite a bit, CYL is a bit of boring video (still nice though) So you would have thought HYD would have cought up a bit with it?)

I really hope the new single from album 2 goes to #1

As I would like the girls to have a few more!

Sorry I forgot to mention that the HYD video is STILL blocked in the US and Canada (or perhaps some other countries as well), so it's reasonable that its view counts are not as many as the others at this point. I'd say it's actually the most popular video if you consider that it can still generate 1m per week without the US views.

Everyone including the label expected HYD to go top 10 I believe, or at least to do better than CYL, which it had the potential to, but the label ruined it by releasing the song mid-week which, believe it or not, does affect a lot. If it wasn't for that, HYD would've debuted at #12/13.
