I would have thought it will have done well top 5 at least because is a single where they reinvented it and is so different from the album. They should have deleted the original from the albums and should have put this new version on it with the pre order link ....simples

That wouldn't be fair to those who buy the album though.

And some people do prefer the album version and it wouldn't be fair to them as well.

Still cant believe they released How Ya Doin' on a Wednesday though lol

I agree Nooneo that if they stuck to the actual release date it would have peaked between 10-12 maybe even higher due all the promo the last 2 weeks along with the fan buys.

Management or Label dont know what one really mucked it up tbh. As the Promo was really good, shame.

I think if they keeped the 5 may date for HYD it would have made top ten

I wonder why groups don't release new songs as singles.
Do they not record more songs than appear on the album?

Why wouldn it be unfair?? The people who already have brought the album would have likely purchase the single again anyway if they really wanted it .....

Also the main reason why people were even buying it was due the fact it was being played on TV a lot so I guess they were expecting the Missy Version.....

No I mean if you remove the album version and put the pre-order link of the Missy version on the album, those who buy the album during that time wouldn't have either version then (because the album version is removed and the single version is on pre-order meaning it's not available yet).

I guess it depends. If they only bring out a single to keep the album selling, then obviously there's no point in releasing new songs unless it's from the next album. But I don't think solo artists release new songs as singles very often either, or do they?

I think they should have just deleted the album version of HYD from Itunes then just kept to the May 5th date it would have defintely gone top 10.

When say 'Wings' was released there was no album, it was a single off a forthcoming album. And Misha B only has singles, so does Amelia Lily right now, although they have forthcoming albums. I have listened to music for years, I remember The Jam going into the studio to do a single which was 'Going Underground', went straight to No 1.

Why not just go the studio and record a single/EP and just put it out as the latest single? Why should it be on an album? Just an idea.

Yeah, I get what you are saying. Like is there left over songs that they have recorded that did not get onto the album?

But then these songs were not good enough on the album, and going to the studio does cost a lot of money to do....it could be economic sides as well. ... But it is an idea that they could take

But artists nowadays don't usually do EPs do they (the ones with brand new songs not the single remixes EPs)? What you say is a great idea, but it's very unlikely that it'll happen, seeing as they don't even do b-sides which most artists have done (including 1D which most people consider are a similar act). Personally I'd rather them to release a song from the deluxe album, the deluxe tracks imo are even better than some of those on the main album and all three of them have a more mature sound so should attract more older buyers.

I agree. I was surprised that CC or LD didn't make the original album.

Music Fan I am suprised none of the deluxe songs were not on the standard as they are all better songs than a few on the standard!
