IMO, you can find good in most people, and all people have strengths. However, when you are marking against a specific criteria, the realists face facts that not everyone can be a winner. Therefore, I think that if you can't face criticism in a dance competition for your ability (or lack of) to dance, don't enter the competition. Totally agree with that.
You'll have to put me on mute at the moment if I leap on the soapbox again.

I'm unappreciating my son's teacher who has suggested that as he likes football he apply to the
local professional football club for his work experience. (They're only 90 mins on a train, no trouble there then even if he was to get in which is very unlikely because a) he likes football but he's totally rubbish at it and can't even get into the B team subs bench most weekends, and b) he'd already had a really good idea about applying to a local airline (he wants to join the RAF). Having this darn 'you can be what you want to be if you work hard enough at it' carrot waved in front of him has really messed with his head.
