Delighted and proud that @talkSPORT will be bringing exclusive commentary of the British & Irish Lions Tour of Australia to the UK in 2013.”

I thought Talksport did a good job in the RWC, but Mark Saggers was out of his depth. He came across as someone who had spent most of his time covering soccer, and was often pulled up by others for banal and inaccurate comments.

Talksport must have an anchor for the Lions tour who knows their rugby inside out. One figure stands out, and that is John Inverdale. They should engage him as anchorman.

John won't be available because the schedule clashes with his work on the French Open (ITV) and Wimbledon (BBC TV).

They could use Mike Bovill or Andrew McKenna, as both are good rugby hosts.

A shame that Inverdale's not available. But they really must have a rugby specialist anchor.
