Swap to ps3?
I currently own 3 xboxes 2 my sons ...I have a new slim one and a load of games. I am seriously considering changing to a ps3 any pros or cons to that ... One reason I don't like my Xbox anymore I because f party chat I like to play a game together not have people swearing at a game I'm not playing or telling me to shut up because there a cut scene. Maybe open he doors to some new games...
Ps I don't want to wait for the ps4 also my friends are pissingm e off a bit and want I disappear ...

Are you talking getting rid of the xbox and just having a ps3? If so I would advise against it. I did the same and a few months later I was wishing I hadnt got rid of my xbox. I now have an xbox and ps3.
That said, the ps3 is a great console and I would recommend having both consoles then at least if you get bored of one, you can take a break from it. |

Also if party chat is annoying you have you thought of changing the privacy settings to friends only? You will not be able to hear random people that are not on your friends list and they wont be able to send you abusive messages.

You might regret it (as I did) but you can always buy or even swap back to a 360, so why not! You won't know unless you try.

LOL Change friends!! Seriously owning both I have to say I find the PS3 slightly limiting in some things. Its an awesome machine don't get me wrong but honestly wait until the day you want a 'Quick game' and find you have updates that take hours followed by installs etc ... you will be shaking your fists with teh rage LOL
If you want to play with randoms get out of the party and fill your soul with little boys screaming and wannabe x factor contestants singing down the mic LOL |

It sounds stupid but one of the main reasons I wouldn't get rid of my 360 is I'd miss the trigger buttons. I've played on a friends PS3 and the bendy buttons or whatever they have felt awkward playing FIFA.

Keep the 360 just change your settings, as has already been said.
Then buy a PS3 as well. It's a no brainer! |

I too say get both and it seems a very poor reason you mention to get rid of the 360, as others mention there are ways around it and even just for offline game play I would say the 360 is worth keeping.
Although both platforms share a lot of games, the PS3 definitely has enough exclusives in terms of full retail releases and loads of great (smaller/casual) games on their network and you don't need to pay extra to play online, although I would strongly recommend a Playstation Plus subscription as it is great value and gives you a collection of great games you can play right away, in fact with plus, you might well find you never need to buy another boxed game again. I've certainly stopped buying retail games since getting it and there are a lot of hidden gems you would probably otherwise never even try. Just make sure you get one with a large hard drive as you will be amazed at how quickly it gets gobbled up. Personally I don't particularly like the design of the latest model but the 500GB version would give you plenty of storage for downloads and installs (many disc games will install partially or even fully in some cases) and you can always easily self upgrade to 1TB if you get through that. Of course if you do want to go down the boxed game route, there are loads of cheap second hand games available on eBay/Amazon etc so building up a good game collection really needn't cost much at all. Plus with Sony's support up to at least 2015 the PS3 still has tonnes left to give whilst PS4 is still years away and will take further years before the really good games start to appear anyway. |

Both if you can, PS3 if you can't, 360 if your not 100% sure about the change.
PS3 feels quite different to the 360, it can make the transition quite painful for some people and they'll want the 360 back. Some awesome exclusives on PS3 (Uncharted) Of course no fee to pay to play online, downside no party features etc.. All in all its a tough choice, good luck. |

You could do what I did and empty your friends list. Then add and remove new people each time you play.
Also, is there a Comet near you? Cheap administration goodies for all! |

Certainly a change might do you good. Only downside really is that you are starting again with your game collection

You should definitely get the PS3, the Xbox will still be around if you want to go back. Experience everything gaming has to offer that's my advice.
