Ok, so I only called it that to get your attention...

but aren't Busted simply awful! After all these years I still don't get them and their guitary jumpy shouty crappy crap music.

When they won Record of the Year (in itself a mindless excuse for a show) I lost absolutely all interest in 'popular' music.

If you agree that anyone who sings 'I asked you to dance at the disco, but you said no' should be 'dealt with' in a Stalinist manner please, please, please sign below.

I am well aware that the little muppets who buy their records are a greater danger to our security than every terrorist put together, so I'm proposing that as well as shipping the front men off to Siberia, we collect all the 'tweenyboppers' and send them to Borstal for no less than twenty years, until they become viable human beings.

They're a good route into "real music" for young children (children should learn that guitars are cool from a young age), which is fine by me.

So when were Busted on the the X-Factor?

So why is Busted worse than any other boy band in history that little children love. The music is all crap but at least they look like they are enjoying themselves and not just standing there looking mean and moody. My daughter started off loving Boyzone many years ago and now is into drum and bass, tastes change and develop as they get older.

I didn't say it was - I said it was a route into real music (i.e. getting them to undertand that people with instruments are "cool" as opposed to the usual boy/girl band guff aimed at children).

Oddly enough, I went to see Busted on Monday. I was on the guest list (my nephew is playing in one of the two support acts.)

I thought Busted's stage show was pretty good, lots of pyrotechnics and 10 feet flames. Strangely the very young audience understands screaming but not applause. This was weird for someone who understands gig etiquette.

I've come to the conclusion that Busted have painted themselves into a musical corner they don't want to be in. They can't move to more adult oriented music as their fanbase is too young to move with them.

They are so up themselves it is unbeleiveable. they slagged off westlife and x factor, but i bet that if they didn't have a recording contract then they would have entered x factor

They did audition for Simon Cowell but he regrets not being quick off the mark to sign them....more accurate account is in his book.
I like Busted's energy...Charlie has another band he is to be working on in the New Year....the type of music he really wants to do (so I read)................Mcfly I have seen , at a summer gig and they were great fun...singing and playing live too! P.s. I am over 40!

I was watching USA or Busted on MTV with child number two and it was very funny for a couple of minutes before we got bored. It featured the one with really bad acne and a lot of make up trying to remove toast from the toaster using a knife. He nearly electrocuted himself and blamed the toaster. Charlie Eyebrows said, but metal conducts electricity and the other one replies, well I didn't know that.
I thought they were public school educated Tory boys?
They were a tad up themselves though, wanting to be taken seriously in America and getting cross when they were being booked to appear on kids TV shows. Duh.

Hey there absent GRC buddy...
The funniest thing I've seen this year was the MTV fly on the wall Busted try to crack the USA!!
Utterly compelling and more so...TELLING!!!
It was pure Spinal Tap when the UK Busted PR guy is begging his US counterpart to give them a break.
He cries "They've sold 3 million records in the UK" the guy from Record Company USA says..." I don't give a flying **** they aren't gonna sell 300 records here!!!"
They do a busk in Time Square and are roundly IGNORED (it gets better!!)They appear on some Vid jocks "New Acts" show where the vid is shown...they ask the kids in the studio "What do you think?" They answer in a bored cra*less way "They're kinda like N'Sync!!" Priceless. He goes on "They play THEIR OWN instruments!!" I don't think the US guy would've cared if they were Sh*F*ing their own instruments....
Mind you it was nice to see the inside of CBGB's again,oh the happy hours I've whiled away there...saw the Libertine's there in 2003. You've NEVER seen anyone look more out of their depth than drummer matey and dark haired kid in CBGB's.
You want to scream (well I DO!!)listen you muppet( )this is hallowed ground, this is where The Ramones were playing in 1976 and The Dead Boys Television Patti Smith etc...jeez show some respect...Yes brother ADD me.

I am sorry but Busted are the most bland boy band I have ever heard. I was a teenager in the Take That era and they at least released some decent songs unlike Busted's boring rubbish.

I feel embarrassed that this group is English. They are utter tosh!!

There are two things I hate in the music industry - Brian McFadden and BUSTED!!!!

I am 24, and I think Busted are great - and I feel no embarassment in saying it. OK - they are in no way musical geniuses, but they make great pop songs. They can play instruments, and they can sing (I know, I've seen them live - oh yes!). And anyway, if you don't like them, you don't have to listen to them do you?
Now, which way was it to Busted Anonymous?

I always thought Sam from PI2 would have fitted in the band well, but maybe he's too nice

you might not like it, but if "music" made using guitars and stuff isn't real music, then what the flip is?
