Steve won the Xfactor by a landslide 5.4 million to 3.1 million! Heres a link:

If that doesnt work, heres what it says!

ITV has revealed that Steve won The X Factor with 5.4 million votes to 3.1million for opera quartet G4.

A spokeswoman for the show said Steve won by such a massive margin that Sharon's comments could not have made a difference to the vote.

Well that confirms what most of us knew.
Sharon's outburst was probibally because she knew it wouldn't make a difference

Well done - if true. Hope they all buy the single next week.

That sure is a resounding win. I've read posts saying that Steve only won due to the sympathy vote and by a narrow margin at that.

Needless to say, I am extremely, extremely happy for Steve.

So my one vote for G4 was wasted......

Should have bought a lottery ticket instead......

I never doubted Steve won X Factor off his own merits. He was one X Factor act that has never needed the sympathy vote can't speak for any of the other acts though, who regularly played for the sympathy votes

One vote not a staunch fan then. Yep. looks like you might have been better off with a lottery ticket as probably most G4 fans would have been

In a sea of negative media attention for steve, this is welcome relief. Just look at what has been portraied in the media recently.

Steve - is like fred west
G4 have a better contract
Steve was was booed
Steve pushed Sharons PA over
Steve is Fake
Steve is very average singer
etc

and the Pro Steve stuff (up til now)
..

..
er - thats it.

......Not according to a discussion on Radio 5 Live on Monday where during an X Factor discussion a BBC Telephone Adjudicator said he was speaking to a colleague, also a Telephone Adjudicator at ITV who said Jonathan Shallit`s statement, re G4 were l00,000 votes ahead before the Sharon outburst, but that Steve subsequently won by 200,000 votes was in fact correct. Think I would rather believe a Telephone Adjudicator than one of these tv "insiders" trying to play down the significance of the Sharon Osbourne outburst.

.....Susann, that was not a nice comment.......please see my comments re voting figures. I tend to believe Telephone Adjudicators rather than tv "insiders" trying to play down the significance of the Sharon Osbourne outburst.

I'm sorry, but that story runs in contradiction of everything I've read elsewhere. Since that link is now dead, I'd suggest it was pulled for inaccuracy. Unlike most, I think Steve won it fair and square (much to my chagrin), but by a very narrow margin.

Yes you would wouldn't you. A BBC adjudicator asks a friend really reliable there then. lol.
I'd even trust the sunday sport more than that.

It was a fun quip, hence the smilies. I didn't find your comments on agreeing with Louis on the Fred West debarcle not very nice, and there were no smilies then

I have seen your voting outcome comments and tend not to believe those word of mouth comments thank you penny. But I can fully understand that as you are a G4 fan, you would be more than willing to believe those word of mouth ones, so I can understand that.

the official independant ajudicator Edward Boddington has already been quoted as saying "sharons comments made no difference to the voting" this was reported by ITV teletext reprters on monday night, steve was the favorite from the start, and jonathan shallit an "insider"

When have you ever known a Paper play down anything.

P.S. you'd rather believe an adjudicator? If it had been the opposite way round you'd of been saying you'd rather believe the newspapers

so you would rather believe a "TV insider"..........You obviously didn`t listen to the interview on Radio 5 Live so how an earth could you comment. The guy knew what he was talking about.......and totally corroborated Jonathan Shallit`s statement (who is privy to a lot more than we know, I suspect).
