Does Eastenders need a new family?
Eastenders hasn't added a brand new family, who are unrelated to the other characters in many years, Do you think it's time for a new family to arrive on Albert Square and what would you like to see? I think next year they should try and get rid of the deadwood characters and introduce a new family

Yes please; no more "big" returns or distant hitherto unheard of cousins.

An entirely new family is always a big risk, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. I think thats why a lot of them time TPTB go down the easy route of introducing characters associated with already existing families. Hence we get a lot of long lost cousins, distant relatives etc. But I think it is time they did bring in a new family unconnected to anyone at the Square, but can't see it being anytime in the next year.

There are too many people in the cast at the moment with no real storylines. They need stronger storylines and more purpose for the people they've already got.

These threads are getting a bit annoying, there was one about this just the other day.
However, yes I think a new family is needed |

I don't think at the moment that a new family would add anything different. There are a wide mix of characters in the show at the moment, and if these were utilised to the best possible effect, then people wouldn't feel the need for a new family.
What kind of family do people want to bring in? And how do they think they would work within the Square? The cast is already very bloated, with some characters receiving little to no screen time. It could do with a slight reduction if anything. |

Axe some branning's and teens then think about bringing in a new family because the cast is currently far too big.
