The gigs Steve had booked in a local pub for Boxing Day and New Years Eve have been cancelled because he is a big star now. Very quick to forget his roots isn't he? I always said he was arrogant, cocky and over confident and doesn't this just prove there's no smoke without fire. G4 have upheld all their busking commitments including one at Trafalgar Square.

I wouldn't be too hard on Steve for that.Since he now has a new management deal,I would hazzard a guess that he wasn't involved in the decision to cancel.

So thats nothing to do with his contract then??
I'm sure you will find thats its not Steve who is calling the shots right now

So steve's gigs cancelled! Can't say I'm surprised, you wait...in a couple of months he'll be begging for those pubs to take him back, he's not a patch on G4!

It would be nice if he insisted on honouring the bookings though. My dad booked The Rolling Stones for a gig at his college once. In between him booking them and the time of the gig they made it massive, but still honoured the gig.

Whoever is behind such a decision - be it Steve or his Management - should realise it's bad PR

he probably hasnt got time to do gigs there, christ why do people keep having a go at him? hes under management now, he probaby canot do those gigs becuase his managers wont let him. give him a break - stop starting anti- steve threads, that to be honest do not matter in the slightest.

I thought that at first - but imagine the nightmare of trying to run a gig in a small working mens club with all the media attention. The place would be full of media and no room left for any audience

In some ways it would be worth him honouring his previous committments, but what people are saying about the logistics and security arrangements would make it a nightmare.

He is also lined up to work over most of the festive period, and if BMG want him to do tv then he'll have to do tv. If it's his only night off for a month, then he deserves that too.

The thread was a joke.
If anything it is an anti-G4 thread.

bev is meerly pointing out that Steve won, so no need to sing in pubs anymore, G4 however lost so are still buskers (I know they are getting a contract blah blah).

So in conclusion, there is no truth to this story here.

For those living in the Yorkshire TV area, G4`s performance in Trafalgar Square this morning, can be seen after 6pm. They sounded wonderful (as ever)

I think we are so used to the sour grapes anti Steve threads on here now, that some can't be blamed for jumping to the wrong conclusion about a thread. If the first thread post is reread, most will see it isn't a dig at Steve. I do love these clever threads though There are some great wits on this forum wits not twits

Aaah, right. You have to remember that I'm President of the 'Take Everything Literally' Club of Great Britain. You obviously had the advantage of knowing the loyalties of the original poster.

Incidentally, my dad REALLY did book the Rolling Stones.
