I agree that it's sad some G4 fans want to attack Steve for his win. But I'm afraid it's just as sad that some Steve fans take such an obvious delight in gloating and putting G4 down.”

Hear bl**dy hear. The "I'm not attacking 'a', I'm only defending 'b' " is getting a bit tiresome now. Four days since the final, and we're still arguing over what is a done deal.
Everyone hopefully
is big enough to take some gentle ribbing when it is given in the spirit of fun. Don't we all get enough angst in real (as opposed to cyber) life? All the contestants have had a fantastic opportunity to jump-start or revive their careers - and make quite a good living if they use it wisely; probably more so than most forum members. So IMO now they are in the public domain, they are fair game for satire and speculation (as long as it's not too cruel
) - but why knock the stuffing out of each other on an internet forum over people we'd never even heard of till recently??? It's becoming impossible to pass comment without being accused of being on the 'other side', and very few threads are escaping the vitriol.
Forum in its dying throes, I suppose.

...does that mean the sainted Ms Thornton was telling porkies all night to keep the voting up?”
