I thought that Kate on the night of the final only said it once quite early on.She definately didn't do her " there is only 1% beween them" speel. She did it other weeks but she definately didn't say it anything like as much that night .

Well in Kates defence, I wouldn't be so quick to shoot the messenger, if what was being said was a lie. She was probably just saying what was fed to her from the producers. I mean why would they need to tell her the situation? Afterall someone would normally be far more convincing a liar if they don't actually know what they are saying is a lie, so it would make sense to keep her in the dark. I'm sure she would have asked how it was going, but they might not have told her or made some excuse.

If the margin was that wide though, there's no way it would have been down to what Sharon said, no matter how many lines were available to voters.

If it wasn't true, I'm pretty sure Louis Walsh would have let us know by now.

Yes its quite irritating at times! Any reason to attribute Steve's win to something other than popularity and quality.

No - the Number of votes came from an ITV source. The contract came from Louis but was reported on the ITV news site.

The ITV source would be someone involved in the production, where as Louis is just bigging up his act (which is his job)

I cannot stress enough that she was still saying this when there were only minutes to go and no I don;t blame her but it was extremely annoying. As a veteran of these shows I have stopped voting because of the blatant manipulating of the GBP, just to part us with our hard earned. All the producers are interested in are the money from votes and quite honestly they don;t care if the artist goes to hell after the first single and album on the back of the show. What is worse with this show is that they didn't even give them an original track to release but have started straight away with covers, music on the cheap for them. I also agree that it doesn't matter how many votes were cast for each, Steve won, I don;t like him but I wasn;t a fan of G4 either .

Why is it so difficult to just accept that Steve won by such a large margin?

G4's style may not (I won't say 'do not', for fear of swoopery) appeal to as many people as Steve...I also think that Tabby's style doesn't appeal as much as Steve's.

Tabby and G4 have genres that are less popular, IMO to a wide TV viewing market. Steve - handsome, nice voice, male, doing sexy soul-ish stuff...why wouldn't he win by an outstanding vote?

I honestly cannot understand why people cannot take themselves out of their own perspectives for a minute and LOOK at what other people may do.

It doesn't matter that G4 can sing 'better' than anyone else, or that Tabby is an outstanding performer. If it's not your thing, then it's not your thing.
