Itv bosses have confirmed that Steve won by a landslide of 5.4 million votes against G4's 3.1million. So like it says in the article, Sharon's comments could not have made a difference to the result. I for one am very happy as this should put an end to the sympathy vote scenario. Steve won fair and square.

Funny you should bring that up, because I had meant to post the other day, that it is known that Jon's parent's have posted on this forum, so Jon/G4 must know about it also, I would have thought. So why haven't they been on to have a quick chat with their G4 fans on the forum and thank them at some point ? Both Rowetta and Steve have been on to thank their fans.

I wouldn't mind those same bosses telling us why Kate kept telling us the votes were neck and neck so make sure you vote. Thankfully I didn't waste any money on it.

It was in 'Team Steve' Thread, it was during X Factor, and Steve popped into the thread to make that one post. Also if you want to check it out whilst there, there is a lovely post from Jon's parents. So although I take it your post was given with a sarky tone to it, feel free to view both Steve's and Jon's parent's post I can't say which of the many pages it is on now, so you will just have to go through the whole thread as you seem so interested in the lovely Steve My original post on this btw was that G4 haven't so far made an appearance to thank their fans, even though Jon's parent's made that special effort, bless them

Thankyou for that information. This is the first we have heard. We have been on the forum to say thankyou and have been to Steves thread as well with best wishes. I hope this helps clear up any misunderstandings.

Steve had more votes and therefore won the competition. This should be celebrated and as I have said before it was a pity that personal comments were made about contestants throughout the series rather than the focus being on the performances. The difference in the votes does not matter it might have been 1 or 10million the one with the most votes wins the show so once again well done Steve.
