LG DVD recorder
Hi
I wonder if anyone can advise me please. I have an LG DVD recorder and have been happily recording progs from sky+ to find out that I can't play them on any other player both laptop or another DVD. I've read in some forums that I need to finalise the disc, I have found this on the menu and it still doesn't seem to work. When I insert the disc. I have to initialize it and then once recorded it then creates chapters etc. I wondered if there was anything glaringly obvious I am missing of have I just got a duff recorder? Thanking you in advance |

What type of disks are you using. There are many variants on the theme of DVD recordable disks and some players don't like some types of disk. So it could be both the type of disk your are using and not finalising the disk after recording.

Also, make sure you are recording the disc in Video mode, not VR mode (often the default).

The model number may possibly be a help just to check the user manual

They are DVD+R. I will check the mode too. Thank you, I really appreciate all of your help.
