No sound on google chrome?
Just wondering if anyone knows why and how to fix it? This is what I have tried.
Lost for other ideas? Any help appreciated. |

Found this on the Google Product Forums and it fixes this problem:
Open Chrome and then in the address bar type the following chrome://plugins/ To the far right there is a +Detail button make sure that is expanded. Then disable all versions of flash player except 11,3,300,268 http://postimage.org/image/8qyszj6lt/ |

I've had this problem occur twice in the last month or two and the steps described by mac2708 do indeed fix it.

Well I thought it had fixed it when I disabled
Adobe Flash Player - Version: 11.5.31.2 Shockwave Flash 11.5 r31 and then re-abled it as there were no other Adobe Flash Players to disbale in the plugins as the youtube videos started to work, however when I tried other youtube videos and BBC Iplayer the sound still does not work? So still have this problem that some youtube videos have sound and some do not??? but the sound works fine on the same videos in IE? For some reason also, when I try to download IE 9 it says I do not have the lastest service pack for vista but then I down load the service pack for vista Windows Vista service pack 1 the lastest one and it says its sucessful but it still says its not updated under my updates??? very confusing? |

It's pepflashplayer.dll (PepperFlash) that is chromes own flash that I think is the one you need to disable.
