X Factor USA - Leave Tate Stevens alone!!!!!!
I am reading some of the post on here and I personally don't agree with all the fuss about Tate Stevens getting top of the votes. He did a really good song last show as it really suited his voice. I was shocked America ranked him tops but lets remember its the first week and America's voting patterns are really all over the place each week. EG Pia Toscarno on AI she was probs topping votes week 1 till she was bottom.
The main worry for me is Vino Alan. How on earth did he get 3rd cause he was terrible. |

Lol, I love how these shows throw up someone for everyone! I don't like Tate Stevens and I don't like country music, so I find him boring, but I'll be the first to admit that he's good at what he does. It's just not my cup of tea.
On the other hand, I love Vino Alan, love his gravelly voice and style. However he wasn't GREAT last night, just okay, I'm not sure I go along with Simon that he's a soul singer rather than a rock singer, wasn't keen on the song choice, and I NEVER want to see him in a shiny suit again!! I know it's uncommon on here, but this is called being objective, lol. |

Seems all the acts get their fair share of bashing here! I'm not a fan of certain acts yet I can see when they produce a good performance worthy of praise. Tate was fantastic & deserved to be top. For me personally, Vino gave the best performance but Tate was a close second.
I guess we all have our opinions, if only some posters wouldn't be so vitriolic! |

His voice is mediocre at best, nothing else, his song choice did not impress me, he sounded just like every other country singer. As for Vino, he was my fav by a royal mile simply because his voice if different from all the other generic voices on the show, Carly I also like.

I doubt from what was said Pia AI topped the votes any week. On the subject of tate he is average at best and probable should of never even been in LA's top 4 there were much better singers than him in the overs

I'm so happy they eliminated David Correy and kept Jason Brock.
Imagine Simon's face if LA Reid's 3 old people topped the votes.

I thoughtb Tate was very good. I am not into country music, but he gave a great performance and I enjoyed it. For me it was one of the top performances, with the big love for country in the US its understandable how he came first. I would have liked to have seen Diamond come second but she did good with fourth.
Vino getting third though was a surprised I thought he was average last night. |

Tate is better than most male country singers I've seen on shows like this (Scotty McCreery for example was awful) but against the likes of Carly, Diamond, Beatrice, Jennel, CeCe, Emblem 3 and Fifth Harmony he isn't brilliant. He certainly shouldn't have topped the vote put it that way.

Agree with you on Tate OP but not Vino. He's not of my favourites. Think he's got a fantastic voice.

I think Tate has a great voice for country. I'm actually shocked he didn't go to Nashville sooner which of course, is what LA Reid said at his audition.
However, a good singing voice at 37 isn't as "impressive" as a good singing voice as a teen. In addition, it's hard to sell a new artist over a certain age so I can understand why people are confused or upset by his standing. |

I thought Tate had a good week. He's not my favourite and I think some of the others will step up. I think now the voting was announced it will scare people into voting for those who were further down and it'll probably be completely different next week.
Tate will be getting a big country vote, but as contestants are eliminated there votes will go to others and I don't see many being transferred to Tate. |

Most people think he's good for what he does but no one thought he was a favorite. Nothing personal against him. We were wrong. Chill out OP

Lol are you guys reaally surprised at Tate Stevens being the top vote getter? This is exactly why I wanted L.A. to eliminate him last week because Country singers on these shows somtimes really dminate the voting. In American Idol, both Carrie Underwood and Scotty McCerry dominated there respective seasons..
Simon has to bus Tate HARD. |

A few places in the web are pretty much thinking Tate has already won the competition..
The scary thing is, these same people saw Philip Philips winning.....and well he won. The demographic that VOTES on American Idol = X Factor, possibly. |

Just shows that the voters haven't got a clue!. How can he top the votes ahead of Carly Rose Sonenclair. I mean come on totally ridiculous!.
These reality shows are fast becoming a total joke!. Rubbish winners, bad voting. |

Tata was ABSOLUTELY fantastic last night!
Some may call him boring, but he is not. He is real, authentic and he believes in himself. He doesn't need stupid dancers distracting the performance. He believes in his voice. ![]() He is my new favourite and at the moment THE ONLY ONE I can see making it it big in the music world after the show.
