I think, other than Simon, the 3 judges are awful. Poor comments and no banter.

I agree but I'm specially gobsmacked by Britney. She doesn't get passionate or excited about anything and gives feedback in one sentence in a robotic fashion. It's really odd watching her. Think Simon hit a new low taking her on.

I switched off after the fiasco of sending one from each group home, the twists etc. the manipulation and awful judges are so bad it spoils the show. The screaching hysteria of the audience means you can't hear what the judges are saying, although that might not be a bad thing.

I'll come on the forum to find out who stays and goes but I can't sit through it.

Britney is dead behind the eyes. What a monumental waste of money it was getting her on board. I didnt even know who demi was before this but she should be on the mega millions britney is.

I was really hoping this years us one would be good as this years uk is a steaming pile of horse shit but i feel the x factor brand is completely dead now.

Britney- so shocked how little emotion or character she shows, no sense of empathy even with her own acts, disappointing to say the least
Demi - Started off really well, very charismatic, but yes I agree since the live shows she hasn’t done a great job mentoring, in terms of song choices for her acts, hopefully now they revealed the finishing order, this will give her the push she needs to turn it around cos i still think shes a great judge

Same here. In fact I might not even bother with that. I really think X Factor is going from one calamity to another so it will be interesting to see how many knocks it needs before the plug is pulled.

Strictly meantime is going along quietly but strongly. What is it doing right that X Factor is getting so wrong?

Even when britney's sending someone home - no clarity or feedback, just 'I'm sending Cece home.' Which was a bizarre decision in itself.

They all gave their decision in one sentence, though which was probably due to the time constraints they'd given themselves when they decided to reveal the order at the end. Only LA seemed like he was giving it any thought, but I suspect they were told to be as brief as possible.

Cant believe people still think that the "mentors" actually do mentor and choose songs, coach the contestants etc. They're nothing but a smokescreen used whilst the producers decide everything, from who is selected, who sings what, to what they wear, set designs etc.

All the judges do is do a bit of VT to give the illusion that they spend time with their acts, give comments on live shows and entice viewers to tune in based on their names alone.

Apart from useless Britney I think the judges are ok on USXF - certainly more entertaining than our dregs. Demi is clearly out of her depth but at least she's not as miserable as Tulisa or as attention-seeking as Nicole.

The show I watched, LA Reid did not seem to know the name of the contestant he was talking to? I recorded it this week, just to see what it was all about, compared to the UK version. Sadly I feel that the X Factor has had its day and we need something completely new. I'm sure the show was not intended to be watched with finger on the FF button.

Well I'm glad. She seems to have passionate fans which she doesn't deserve and Scherzinger got such a hard time last year and wasn't really given a chance, serves them all right!

I just don't know what you expected from Britney. She's mentally ill and on medication. She doesn't even have control of her own affairs. She is one of those child stars who is severely damaged. Can't imagine why her "handlers" allowed her to be on the programme ... oh yes, the money. They all deserve what they get.

I was disappointed thought it would be much better, I like LA and Simon but Britney is just weird she looks like a robot, I liked Demi in the auditions but dont like her now and dont seem to agree with anything she says. The hosts they are really the worst thing about it, they remind me of eurovision and I dont know if I can keep watching

Also what is the point of announcing the vote order - to spur fans to vote more next week for their favourite How will Arun feel knowing he just avoided the bottom two - it's hardly going to spur him with confidence next week

L.A. is far too harsh, picky. I really can't stand him though, hated him last season too.
Demi is brilliant, she's a great judge! Although as a mentor she only chose right for Jennel with Home Sweet Home and Paige with Take My Breath Away, the rest were awful song choices!
Britney is a horrific judge, totally uninterested it seems. She gives her acts the right songs though so she seems a good mentor.
Simon is great as always!

The hosts are horrific though and as a whole the production lets it down. Immense talent like Diamond, Carly, Jennel, Fifth Harmony and CeCe wasted on a sub-par show.

Simon blew his one big chance. When USXF started last year, with all the promo, it opened with a decent rating. People took one look at it and next week watched a different channel. Once you lose your audience, it is very difficult to get them back.

That's not actually true.....

In the first season it managed to stay above 10 million viewers almost weekly. It took a few dimps some weeks but always managed to find it's way back. And the finale was watched by 12,51 million viewers. It was always 1st or 2nd of it's timeslot. And almost every time 1st or 2nd of the whole night. So they were able to keep the audience throughout the whole season 1.

It didn't go down down down each week it was on, which so far seems to be the case now with this second season.

They have managed to alienate the people who watched it last season with this ridiculous plan to focus on the teens.

Bottom line is that they had a semigood base for the show in it's first season, but they didn't believe it. They felt it was not good enough so they made the changes to season 2 thinking they were good changes and that they would be able to come back strong. And it has just flopped.

They should have just believed that the first season was something they could build up. But the changes they made for season 2 were too drastic.

I wonder how on earth Simon is able to keep himself motivated for season 3 and keep on believing that they will manage to save the show. He was motivated this summer when they did the auditons because he thought hiring Britney would get the ratings up. So he was all hyped and exited. But it will be different come next year, cause he has to admit it to himself that he misjudged the appeal of Britney and Demi. So it's not like he can again fire them and bring in new judges in hopes that they would change the course of the show. He has now seen it's not that easy and he shouldn't assume anything.....

Excuse me but didn't you spend most of this past summer telling us that Britney would be the savior of US XF? And how she was going to pull the viewers in by the millions? And how her and Demi were what the show needed?

But now that XF has lost nearly half of their first season audience and Britbot and junior judge Demi are showing their true un-edited colors you blame the downfall of XF on the first season. That is just not true. The audience didn't go away until season 2.

It's too bad that they seem to be fighting an uphill battle with a cast of characters that has just about zero chemistry (IMO), production problems, and the Voice to contend with in the ratings. Their only saving grace right now is that they managed to find some great talent that could be incredible with the right handling. It remains to be seen if that will happen ---mistakes have already been made.

Simon is gonna have to get his ass back to the uk xfactors 10th bday if he doesnt next years ratings will be awful and the contract with itv also ends next year ....

Its disastrous this year, but they are suffering from the same problem as last year, which is that the auditions are so much better than the live shows its scary. They have great acts with amazing voices knock it out of the park at the auditions, boot camp and even to some extent Judges Houses. But as soon as they get to live shows, they let the ridiculous production crew get at them, they get all Friedman'd up, and then what were great singers get ruined.

The production of the live shows is shocking, the hosts are beyond appalling, the judges have no chemistry at all and the audience just screams incessantly all the time no matter what is happening.

And the results show last week was just about the most amateurish bit of TV I have seen. They ruin the tension of announcing the results by going to a break half way through, then they get the judges pretty much just say a name of the person they want to send home with no explanation or prevaricating (say what you like about Louis but watching his contorted face as he's trying to come up with an answer is half the fun!).

And then, the cardinal sin was the announcing of the order of the votes. There was zero tension, both the contestants and the audience had no idea how to react, they had CeCe on stage for it despite knowing she was last anyway, for the first few they had the camera on the person who was named several seconds before the name was read out. It was anti climactic and painful to watch.

Who would have thought we would be sorry to see the back of Steve Jones, but these two muppets are just embarrassing, and their inability to squeeze any tension at all out of what should be inherently exciting events is cringe worthy. I can't see a way back, but I would be amazed if they did the same next week and announced the voting order, as it just doesn't make exciting TV.

WOW! Is everyone blind and deaf? Yes Britney may be a dissapointment but the show itself is amazing, it is 10 million times better than the UK version, the talent is amazing and the contestants are so up-do-date and it's not just ballad upon ballad. It is the best series of an X Factor show i've ever watched!
