I have been told I have been sent some emails but I have not received them. Sometimes a message comes up about phishing when I log into my email account - there are 3 emails in my junk email at the moment but no new ones.

A message has just come up about phishing and I have gone into my junk email but there are no new ones. Does my junk email folder automatically accept emails or do I need to change my settings.

These emails are important but are not getting through. I have checked the email address they are using and it is the correct one. Is it possible I can locate these emails - which are from Asda. Thanks in advance for any help.

Asda should have these emails bounced back to them if you don't receive them. What email client are you using, are you having the same problem with any other emails, can you send yourself an email and receive it ? You could open an account with something like G mail and see does that work.

Asda rang me Tues p.m. asking me to check my emails and book myself on an Asda Magic Day (I worked for them last Christmas temporary). No emails, let them know, they send it again. Still no emails so I let them know and they say there is nothing they can do about it. It is all totally computerised. Told if there is a slight error with my email address, the emails will not get through. I ring H.O. and they tell me the store have to raise a ticket and I let the store know. The lady says she doesnt raise tickets, her boss does and he is very busy at the moment. I ring H.O. again and lady in H.R. says she will phone the store and get it sorted. Still no emails from Asda, that is why I wondered if they are going somewhere on my computer and I cannot see them. I went on-line and looked at my Asda application and my email address is correct . . . . . (sorry about all that woffle).

The e-mails will arrive on the server of whoever provides your e-mail service. They won't appear on your computer unless you download them into a mail client, eg Thunderbird or Outlook or whatever. Or you use a web based interface to connect to your providers server.

So if you are using an e-mail client on your PC and it has not connected to your mail providers server the messages won't be there. Therefore you need to check that whatever you do to download e-mails is actually working properly. Or use a web interface to connect to your mail provider.

If you tell us what method you use to read your messages and who your mail provider is we might be able to help more.

Thanks for your reply. I use Windows Mail and it is working fine. That is the email address that Asda have. I have applied on-line for 2 jobs with Asda this afternoon and the automatic reply has come through, thanking me and saying they will be in touch soon.
