I'll kick off with "I'm a Little Christams Cracker" by the Bouncing Czechs - Jon Harle played this regularly in the run up to Christmas when he used to do the late night show on BBC Radios Cumbria, Newcastle &Cleveland.

Oh dear, I'd totally forgotten about that. Maybe subjectively removed the horror from my memory. Thanks for reminding me

The cheeky girls' Christmas song...don't know it's name but I think it's something like 'Cheeky Christmas song'. That is pretty bad, however, I reckon that Paul Holt's 'Fifty Grand for Christmas' is even worse. The video for Paul Holt's song is beyond bad.

He was a guy that auditioned for the x-factor and Simon Cowell said that if he got to number one at Christmas he would write him a cheque for £50,000, so he has produced a song about it. His name is Paul Holt. I agree, as I said on a previous post, it is an awful song.

Paul McCartney(or was it Wings?)

Simply having a wonderful christmas time.

That line was repeated over and over and it used to make me cringe.

Anything on Jessica Simpson's Xmas album except Let It Snow.................................Actually no, I'd say "Silent Night" by Sinead O'Conner.

Hmm, should I buy an CD for someone I don't know to get £50,000 or should I buy Band Aid, where the money goes somewhere useful...

hmmm....tough question!! Personally, I think Paul Holt should donate a certain amount of money from each single he sells to a charity such as band aid, considering he can't sing and all songs like that are usually made to raise money for a good cause, but then again would people buy that single...its just whiney and repetitive. Personally, if I was to buy the singles...I'd buy Band Aid, I could not possibly face buying or listening to Paul Holt's song....ever!!

lol how much would it actually cost though to record the track and then produce enough CDs to get to number 1!?

No way - Sinead O'Connor's version of "Silent Night" is definitive.

Mum's got the original, and as much as I don't like the song I ought to buy the new one.

Paul Holt... what an annoying young man he is. The video is complete dross too!

The management of Take That were to blame for that, they released Babe a week too early.
It knocked Mr Blobby off the top but then Mr Blobby went back to Number 1 for the Xmas week.

The first week sales of Take That were always the highest, so they should have released it a week later.

Bob the Builder, because this kiddie-friendly rubbish stopped the fantastic Angels by Robbie Williams getting to Christmas Number 1. In fact, Angels didn't get to Number 1 at all- I HATE Robbie but this song is an absolute CLASSIC!!!!

Ronan Keating's version of 'Fairytale of New York'.

They played it on Radio 1 last week as a joke. Cringeworthy, dire and embarassing.

"Angels" only got to number 4 in the charts so it was two other records besides BTB that prevented it getting to number one.

Plus, "Angels" is vastly overrated IMO - "Strong" is a far better song - not that I'm a big fan of Robbie's but credit where it's due.
