Does anyone else think the music isn't helping. Puppy Love was a very saccharin choice & Moon River!!! He is young & thinks he's cool so surely they could have found something a bit more modern to dance too without going too "out there".

The 6 was ridiculous but 9 also a bit much. I wonder if Craig didn't like Louis complaining about his Samba score on the VT

This. I think he's improving all the time - I can see why others can't see it and that he needs to project some more...but he's getting there.

And if Craig is style over substance why doesn't he just tell Louis to up the presentation of his performance - that might be more effective and helpful.

I agree- Craig is always saying that he is only harsh to help them improve, so if he thinks Louis needs to improve on his performance, he needs to tell him that. Louis has always said that he takes on board all the judges comments and works on them- so Craig needs to comment on the performance side if that is what he's marking him down on. Louis can't work on it if he's not being picked up on it. If anything, Craig being constantly pernickety about technique is going to make Louis concentrate even harder on getting that right, and the performance side will never develop.

Not a fan of Denise are you? I think you've lost your objectivity.

I'm definitely not a fan of Louis and I'd be really disappointed if he won but I think it's really clear he was under-marked by Craig.

I thought it was the best dance of the night! Although, I would have liked Kimberly's more if it wasn't for the mistake.

Louis has great potential and the best possible professional partner to help him realize it. Nobody has really hit the giddy heights for me so far this series, Louis included but with hard work he will become a very fine dancer imo. The performance side of things will come in time I have no doubt .

I really loved Louis at the Olympics, thought he was lovely on Sunday Brunch the other week, but I just can't warm to him on SCD. His dancing doesn't engage me, his godawful hairstyle makes him look ridiculous in ballroom (as do James's hairstyle and Dani's tats). As I don't watch ITT I can only judge what I see on a Saturday night and he and Flavia are just not interesting me.

Probably trying to increase the voting and thus the money coming in. It was, undermarking and though I'm not a Louis fan the repeated undermarking is bizarre when compared to the marks given to a few who are dire by comparison.

Perhaps Sid - but if so he was playing a dangerous game - Kimberly (joint second on the leaderboard) was, to my astonishment, in the dance off. With one mark less Louis and Flav could have been in the same position - indeed it could have been a Louis/Kimberly dance off.

So much for game playing.

Haven't seen a lot of you this year - are you enjoying series 10?

I like Loius and appreciate his quiet polite and hard working personality

For me that's the problem, I think he is hard working and trying hard to do the job really well and hence is missing out on the feeling of the dance, the joy of being part and aprcel of the movement the music and the emotion.

If this is what Craig is missing he needs to tell him,.

He needs to know that and somehow learn to stop concentrating on trying to do the moves perfectly and loosing the joy and spirit of the dance.

The 6 was silly but he wont deserve 10's until he can get the emotion of the dance right

Interesting comment from Louis on result show, i.e. the more the judges argue with Craig the lower he will mark him...

Yep. He's a smart boy. Perhaps this is what happens in gymnasts.

Don't they press their score in electronically as the dance finishes and then they're handed the score paddle? So he's already chosen his score before the comments.

Yep, they do. Craig had already picked the 6 before the arguing started.

But the higher the others marked him. In a dance off he will have three against Craig.

The dance was very good but not worth three 9s.

[EDIT obviously wrong if the scores are delivered before the comments]

I disagree it was worth four 9's.

I've noticed that the couples who peak early never go on to win. James has peaked many times with his celeb partners but he always ends up being a runner up. I think it is a good thing that Louis hasn't been consistently top of the leader up. It is setting him up nicely to peak at the right time.

True.

But he hasn't yet chosen his scores for next week (presumably!).

So, this week's judges' spat could lead to Craig marking lower next week.

Of course, there's also the possibility that next week Craig will see a 'miraculous transformation' of some sort, and give Louis a gratifyingly high mark...

Knowing Louis, he will give Craig several raised eyebrow to raise his blood presure (in a good way). But seriously, depending on what dance Louis' doing. If it's charleston or similarly 'fun' dance, he's ging to suffer, BIG TIME, from all the judges save perhaps Bruno or Darcey.

The worst kind of reaction for Louis would be like one that Kim received on Saturday for her VW. Positive remarks from judges, relatively high scores, not at the the TOP TOP of the leaderboard and TYING with someone else in that position.

Voters tend to think, Ah Louis' safe, or in the even of a tie, might have voted the other one tying in the same position as Louis (and perceived to have been underscored, even slightly). Then we might even see another shock bottom two senario...

6000 people at Wembley? He'll tease, he'll tantalise - and then do one of his A-MA-ZING, Darling! things just to hear that roar. He's a pure showman.

He's got a QS AS. I don't think voter apathy will be a problem for Louis as I think he's the one to beat, but that's when voter apathy happens. I might even vote for join Saturday and I haven't voted since Kara and that was only once in the final and before that it was Austin.

I have to agree with you - you can tell the judges' favourites are Denise, Kimberly and Dani. Don't think that Louis will score high even if he does something remarkable! I just hope he gets to the final.
