The Terry bashers should get over themselves. His comments are obviously designed to get a rise out of people and it works every time. His comments had me chuckling - I wouldn't have done if I thought he really meant them.

Terry remains consistent and I think he really does mean everything.

I've grown to quite like Terry's presence. To some it irritates (used to irritate me too), but I've learnt to take it with a smile.

Some of his threads lighten the mood as well.

I was not in the front row of the audience with my leg outstretched if thats what your suggesting.

Having watched the clip several times its quite clear that he didn't slip, he just fell up the stairs.

Brendan was preoccupied shepherding Victoria his favourite rushing forward in front of him. Freezeframe shows the tip of Brendan's right shoe connecting with the vertical wall of the second step with nowhere possible to go. Meanwhile his upper body was flying ahead and his lower body had to keep up or else.

With his right foot hemmed in by the second staircase step, Brendan's left foot had to provide forward and upward movement. However this left foot momentarily clipped the wooden ledge overhanging the top of the first step.

Brendan's lower torso for a splitsecond fell behind his upper torso which lunged forward and downward. Stretching out his hands to save himself, his hands and head only just missed an aluminium staircase pillar, collision with which would have been serious.

Brendan was mounting the staircase at an angle, so would have fallen awkwardly at an angle. Bad enough, and it could have been worse. Good luck to his recovery.
