average. Every time he sings with his guitar I keep looking for the guitar case on the floor to drop a few coins into. He also did exactly the same fake soul shriek with exactly the same notes that he puts at the end of every song which I believe is meant to convey passion.
If this guy is a 'star' I'm going to drag a few buskers in off the street for the X Factor if this is the kind of crap they're desperate to promote. |

I feel this thread would have been more effective had you left it at the word 'average'; I would have enjoyed it more.
I can't enjoy his shouting voice, especially with the horrendous attitude he has. |

I predicted the first word of this thread after reading the title.
I can't make my mind up. I have to credit James for being better consistently than all the other contestants. His voice is quite good and I do find myself liking him a bit more each week but, he is lucky to be able to sing in tune and "get away" with almost not needing to do anything spectacular. Having said that, there are a mix of similar voices I've heard in the past, some I like, some I don't. I'm on the fence. I think I'll stay there. |
