My friend doesn't even watch Hollyoaks but asked what it was like and I summarised it for her HAHAHA

Three couples are getting married
Tony/Cindy & Ste/Doug [they are gay but really Ste loves Brendan] they are sharing a wedding venue
Jono/Ruby are 16 and running off to Gretna Green to get married with all of their friends. They steal a van not knowing the brakes are faulty. 2 Of their friends don't agree they should be getting married and chase them in the car [the driver is high on drugs] and he tries to run them off the road.
They find cakes in the van because the person who was using the van was supposed to drop the cakes to the joint wedding venue and they feel bad so they decide they should go their and deliver the cakes themselves.
Brakes are faulty obviously and Ste's daughter runs into the road. Maddie [driver of the van] swerves missing Ste's daughter but hitting Ste. He's unconcious in a coma but I read spoilers and I know he lives.
The van ploughs through the whole venue... And goes into a fireball basically once everybody but one friend is out. He dies [Maddie knows he was alive but leaves him in their to die cos shes a b**tch basically]

When the fireball happens the vandoor literally explodes and hits Maddie on the head which I have actually been laughing at since it happened cos it was fooking funny..

Then Rhys[I think you know him cos he was in it when you watched] is married to Jacqui but he’s been having an affair with Cindy, who is getting married to Tony but Jacqui doesn’t know this.[ LOOOL]
Yeah anyway. Him and Cindy decided they were going to run away together just before the van ploughed into them. Rhys got trapped underneath rubble. Oh and then the ceiling fell down and the Ambulance man told Jacqui the fire brigade were 10 mins away and he wouldn’t survive 10 mins so it was this big emotional good bye which broke my heart LOL

Oh what happened to Doug?
I don't even care because Brendan and Ste are gonna get together in a month in Dublin and it's gonna be all romantic and amazing, so hopefully he gets forced to go back to America or something. Whatever just out Ste's life..

Wow that was some Ep tonight. The Leah/Ste & Leah Jack scenes were amazing and the racqui scenes were totally heart wrenching. Haven't thought much of Rhys recently but he kinda won me over again tonight with his speech to Jacqui. Claire was fantastic. Doug was just Doug. The teens, I wanted to slap Maddie when she was still in the bus with her "will someone help ME please" and the way she spoke about Neil being dead already then her heartlessness when she left him. I did laugh when she died and no I won't miss her but it's really not fair that she get off with her treatment of Esther.

Roll on to when we see Brendan's reaction now and I can't wait to see him with Ste in the hospital, I really hope Brendan doesn't leave until he knows Ste will be OK. And I'm positive that people (Stug fans) are only still talking about Dublin being a dream to winde Stendan fans up. They must know that Stug will be ending soon and this is their denial of it. It can't be a dream and as flaky as HO write Ste's character sometimes I really can't see them have him beg doug not to go and snog his face of in one breath and then just decide to go to Dublin to be with Brendan and snog his face off in the next. I think that is a step to far even for them

I'll also miss him being bathed in Doug's tears. Which I can live without, frankly.

But I'll look forward to coming home to the carnage.

I enjoyed tonight loads, but I'm kind of missing Brendan now, tbh.

Even though the episode tonight was brilliant, I really couldn't help but think that Brendan being there would have made it seriously epic. Felt wrong that practically everyone in the village was there apart from him

Plus I'd loved to have seen his immediate reaction to Ste getting hit.

I know it's not all about Stendan but to be fair for me it really is. Brendan is the only reason I watch HO's and as good as tonight's episode was...I wish Brendan was in it for purely selfish reasons

I agree it woulda been epic if Brendan was there to see Ste, at least Ste woulda had 1 person to genuinely worry for him and not cause he's married to Doug (lookin at u Leeann) except Leah.

I know, BH, it's funny. Part of me didn't want him there for obvious reasons, because of the occasion. But I'd have loved his reaction to Ste - better than having flipping Leanne holding him. And I just miss him when he's not there.

Aw I know, I just don't want it to seem like the fact that he wasn't there ruined it, because it was a great episode. I just think there was a place for him there, but I guess they wanted it to be more about how Ste being hit affected Doug after their fight, more than anything else.

Maybe they realized that if Brendan was there he would just be cradling Ste's body and rocking back-and-forth in tears rather than helping the masses of people who still needed help
