Was Cheryl Cole the reason why Kimberley was in the dance off?

I didn't see John Terry there?

Just a random theory - maybe Kimberley didn't have the lowest votes and the bosses were just getting the public ready to vote more for her over the next few weeks, to win?

*Hope so, i adore Kimba.

Pathetic attempt to attack Cheryl Cole by making false allegations. About nine years ago she got involved in a fight with someone at a nightclub and was charged with assault, she got a fine and community service. I don't think racism came into the charge and she certainly was not convicted of any - odd thing to accuse someone of when they married a black footballer! The people who don't like her bring it up regularly and usually wildly exaggerate what happened. It sounds like a typical night out in Newcastle!

Isn't this Cheryl hate in here getting a bit petty and ridiculous? Cheryl was bashed when the other Girls Aloud members were on the show, and Cheryl was on her tour, for not being there to support Kimberly, and now she is bashed for sitting where she was told to sit ans supporting her friend. Unbelievable!

D'you not think she could have raised a smile or something? If you're going to be there at least make it look like it's a pleasure and not a ploy by the record company.

"Go out there, Chezza, and pimp yourself out for the sake of Kimble's download sales! You can do it!"

Well, do it with a bit of grace.

I wondered about that too - Kimberley is one of my favourites so I hope this is just a silly stunt played by the Beeb. How can they keep Michael and that chap from Westlife in over someone who has danced like Kimberley has every week

I also dislike Cheryl Cole but I don't think she's responsible for the lack of votes. GA fans - how likely is it that they would watch SCD? They're more likely to watch X Factor. As I have said on another thread: thank goodness the judges were there to put things right.

It isn't the BBC who got her in the bottom 2. It's people thinking a) won't bother as she's safe or b) won't vote for her as I don't like her.

There is no BBC voting fraud. They don't need to.

And some of us (a lot) vastly prefer Michael.

I don't think having Dimples in the audience particularly helped Kimberley, maybe it made her more nervous.
However, I enjoy watching Michael do his best too so I couldn't guess which two would be in the dance off this week although I wasn't suprised to see Fern in the dance off.

Funny how I saw her smile, though. And after re-watching, yes, Cheryl was smiling and blowing kisses at Kimberly.

I think you will find that Cheryl was smiling when she saw her profile in the studio monitor.

Nah, she was already smiling when they turned the cameras on her, and continued to do so. But whatever makes you easier to hate her, I guess.

Terri - you are usually so lovely and cheery, where do these uncharacteristic bitchy comments come from?

You'll have me repeating my comment that made you fall off your chair.

With all going on at the Beeb I highly doubt they'd mess around with public vote like that - for all we know Kimberley has just been scraping by every week. Ready made fanbases will only get you so far, you need to pick up support along the way, and it seems Kimberley hasn't been doing that. Remember two sportsmen, probably not that well known to the majority of the voting demographic, won out over a Spice Girl and an actress from the top rated Beeb soap in Series 4

Michael has a growing support, an obvious 'journey' (sorry for using that word ) is giving it his all and has a tremendous partnership with Natalie - sort of stuff people like to see. Kimberley is rather lovely, but has been pretty restrained so far, and so a bit forgettable - didn't help having the VW either, which, although beautiful and well danced, was again forgettable.

While I can't stand Cheryl Cole I honestly don't think her being there had anything to do with Kimberley not getting enough votes.

I like Kimberley (and Pasha especially), but she reminds me of Holly Valance - should be great etc but just not quite as good as you expected.

I think she'll make the semis anyway, she's far better than Richard, Michael (much as I like him) and Lisa & Victoria (who've been really overmarked the last couple of weeks).

Thank you for explaining the background story I didn't know about this.

I didn't actually fall I managed to recover just in time, it was a bit like a Michael moment at the end of his dance.

I didn't realize I was being bitchy at all, I know I do get carried away sometimes in the heat of the moment and the show excitement but any bitchyness must come from spending to much time with Errol, he's a Super Bitch and proud lol

You have got "carried away" quite a lot last night and this morning as you must have posted at least a dozen very unpleasant comments about Ms Cole.

Your persona is slipping

I don't dislike Cheryl I just wish she would stay at home where Simon sent her and let Kimberley have her chance in the spot light. Cheryl is very camera aware and always in smile mode when they are rolling.

That's what I thought, she seemed to be smiling and enjoying herself as far as I could see.
