Union J obviously had least votes
Hence why they came to Louis first, rather than last (as he would've saved them to make it 2-2 and send it to deadlock)

Oh, please.
If they wanted Union J to stay, they would have made him keep Union J. |

Louis has been first to vote every week, they did the same to Cheryl when she had two acts in the bottom two and they never went to her last and she refused to vote.

No evidence for this, people were saying this last time they were bottom 2.
He refused to vote as he didn't want to pick between his acts - no matter what he would have done he would be critisced. Put away the sour graps - UJ were far better in the sing off... in fact it was their best performance since going into thw lives |

I dont believe the producers care whether Union J or district 3 leave. neither are an integral part of the show

I still feel like Union J should have gone home for butchering Fix You last night. District 3's performance yesterday was miles better. And incase anyone says "but it shud b based on da bottom 2 performance!!' that rule went out the window last week, when Rylan was saved over Kye.

Deadlock is used when they want to get rid of the lowest scoring act, not used when they dont... |

every thing was engineered tonight to avoid it going to deadlock. when it suited them they used to make the mentor 'suffer' by making him/her the deciding vote, having to choose between his/her own two acts. but not tonight, by going to louis first, they effectively took any power away from him to choose which of his acts would go forward.if they had gone to him last, he would have been more likely to take it to deadlock and let the public decide, but they want union J in because it's better publicity for the show. District 3 have a good future ahead of them. i'm not watching x factor any more. it's a con.

Find it funny how D3 fans are saying Louis would have saved them after weeks of complaining about how he doesn't care about them...

I disagree with the op for dramatic effect they should have gone right to left starting with Nicole so would have been 2-1 by time got to Louis, last season he didn't duck these decisions especially when it came to kitty v Johnny and kitty v smamy if I remember right, he's actually the one Judge who never avoids the decision until tonight. But had he been last to decide he woul have saved union j so I don't think there would ever have been deadlock tonight, no idea why they went to him first it showed desperation from the producers to create a stir. And it backfired big time

I think District three were always going to go. It does seem from Gary, Louis and Nicole, they prefered UJ. D3 were told to get some more oomph in their act, so they did, then got told they needed to go back to basics, after being told the basics wasn't good enough. They jumped through many hoops and seemed to take on the more risky songs, whereas UJ haven't. It doesn't really seem to matter how unoriginal or uninspiring UJ are, the judges will still love them, regardless. They aren't actually that good, but apart from the odd very slight comment, they are treated like amazing entertaining singers, which they're not. They want their One Direction clones and UJ fit the bill.
D3 to me were better singers and better harmonisers, but that wasn't what they were really looking for. For UJ they even added George to give that whole 1D look and notice after they commented on his voice needing some work, he doesn't sing solo anymore! Saying that, not a fan of boy bands at all and not interested in seeing either D3 or UJ get to the final. It just seemed to me, whether Louis voted or not, UJ were going to go through. I 've never watched XF series before, but to me, it was blatantly obvious who they'd save tonight and Louis knew this when he pulled out of voting. |

D3 - very noble after being cheated!
I was impressed by D3 in their after-show interviews, where they seemed very noble and stand-up individuals -congratulating Union J.
When asked about the order in which the judges were approached, ie with Louis first, you could see how the unfairness was beginning to dawn on their faces. Even so they remained magnanimous. I hope they have the future success they deserve. |

I don't think they really cared who went last week out of the two boybands. One of them was blatently going to go at some point before the final. Now they can just concentrate on pushing Union J as the boyband.
