Maybe my perception is wrong. But my daughter for instance has been put on a capped contract now. It works out cheaper for us than PAYG and she can't use above her minute and text quota anyway (and run up a bill). This also means she can't text or call premium numbers. When she was on PAYG it was up to her if she wasted credit on voting. But the capped contract means she can't. I wonder how many other parents have moved their kids to capped contracts and have cut the teeny vote drastically?

I think it's the mums and grans who would need to be on capped contracts to impact the results. Look what happened with Matt Cardle.

You underestimate teens and the lengths they will go.

Oh the nans always vote for the "lovely boys" who never do very well outside the show cos they don't actually buy music.

I don't actually like anyone this year.. only enjoying rylan for the fun factor. The rest are just over-rated bores. The nans and mums are welcome to whoever they want to win

Oh why didn't they have capped contracts when my kids were teenagers! Phone companies made a fortune from us
