Amazing song choices for Ella and Jahmene.

Eurgh please not And I Am Telling You for Jahmene, he would completely ruin it. He's already done a song from Dreamgirls anyway.

Christopher - Never Gonna Give You Up (Rick Astley)
Rylan - Barbie Girl (Aqua)
James - Take On Me (A-Ha - An acoustic version)
Jahmene - Respect (Arethra Franklin)
Ella - Call Me Maybe (Carly Rae Jepson - A slowed down version could sound good I think)
Union J - I Want It That Way (Backstreet Boys)

Not great choices but meh.

Ella - Believe (Cher)

Everytime is perfect for Ella (I've suggested it for a couple of themes now) but I will try and go for different song choices to those so far...

Ella - Total Eclipse Of The Heart by Bonnie Tyler or Defying Gravity by Wicked

James - Jolene by Dolly Parton
Rylan - Judas by Lady Gaga
Jahmene - idk he'll just do some shouty ballad sung by a female

Christopher - Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now by Starship (cheesy as hell and probably awful but so would anything else he'd do!)

Union J - Unbreak My Heart by Toni Braxton (to challenge them vocally, I think they can do it though!) or You Keep Me Hanging On by The Supremes

Not sure many of those are guilty pleasures but oh well

I'd love Ella to sing Everytime, but is it really a guilty pleasure?

To be honest, we all know it's not long until they pull out And I Am Telling You for Jahmene, we know it's coming

Can they issue the audience with shotguns in preparation?

The Guilty Pleasures theme is pretty much just one of those sing anything theme's.

Oh FFS! What does Guilty Pleasures even mean??? It's a tired/wanky phrase from a few years ago that should be consigned to the bin along with other poxy faddy phrases like Wassup! Amazeballs etc etc. It's one of those cruddy phrases that a dulard like a 35 year-old male geography teacher might use to appear "cool". Honestly, it's like show is deliberately being shite!

What on earth can Rylan and Christopher sing that is cheesier or camper than the songs they've already performed? Every week, their song choice could be apt for this theme.

Ella - Believe (Cher)

OR even better, Somewhere over the Rainbow (Eva Cassidy)

What songs aren't 'guilty pleasures' after a while. Even the greatest pop writers ever - Lennon and McCartney, Bacharach and David and Andersson and Ulvaeus - have become guilty pleasures.

Ella - "Believe" - Cher again because the producers are lazy.

Chris - "The Climb" - Miley Cyrus

Union J - "Girlfriend" - N'Sync ft. Nelly

Jahmene - "Take A Bow" - Rihanna

Rylan - "Relight My Fire" - Take That

James - "What Makes You Beautiful" - One Direction

Union J - Whispering Grass, The Ink Spots

Rylan - The Sound of Silence, Simon and Garfunkel

James - Teen Spirit, Nirvana

Didn't Union J sing Call Me Maybe at judges houses? They could do it again this week.

And he ruined that too!

The real choices are bound to be laughable, though. The dance classic, Ain't Nobody, by Rufus/Chaka Khan, was deemed to be a guilty pleasure in last year's live finals!

Will Chris be really adventurous and sing something from later than 1989

And what are the chances of Rylan not "singing" yet another mash-up, this time by the likes of Britney/Kylie/Girls Aloud:yawn:

The same song was considered Disco during Pop Idol, despite coming from the wrong decade.
