1001 things you should know...
... the new C4 quiz which has pushed Countdown out of its spot.
Dreadful, just dreadful. Every other sentence seems to include the phrase 'you should know' and that is the only element of originality about the format, which was irritating within the first five minutes and almost unbearable by the end. |

So bland that I got so much housework done whilst watching it.
About as exciting as unblocking a drain! |

Have to agree. I wanted to like it as I like Sandi Toksvig but the whole "you should know that so it isn't worth any money" thing got boring very quickly. Maybe it will be repeated less in the future when they think viewers have gotten the gist (although it isn't difficult) of the game.

1001 things you should know....Number 1 - watch something else.
Boring way to lose viewers from both Countdown and Deal or No Deal by sticking this in the middle. |

I'm still trying to get over the woman who said she was a child in the 80s

I watched it and thought it was a bit "meh"
Although, I have set my tv to "record" tomorrow as my mate Jackie is on it

It says something about the state of Channel 4 and British television in general that this programme was given the go-ahead. How far things have fallen since Fifteen To One.

The two seconds of this I watched it didn't seem good. Why do clips of C4 presenters have to ask the questions!.

Thought I would have a quick look on 4OD at this .... What a pile of rot.
Agree with the above post about the 80's woman .... no way !! I cannot see this lasting for very long. Was the phone on the table ready for Noel's show

I'm going to be on this in a couple of weeks, so am probably biased, but it seemed quite fun to me. Having said that, it was originally supposed to be for 'summer' transmission, so they obviously wiggled the schedules around a bit.
We recorded it back in June, so it seems ages ago now..... |

According to C4's web site it's scheduled for at least three weeks but I guess they'll re-evaluate and dump it as quickly as possible.

Sandi Toksvig reminds me of a female Clive Anderson

Having Sandi Toksvig presenting seemed to promise something a little better than we got. Why on earth would she get involved in something as puerile as that? Questions of a standard that would embarrass a TV phone in quiz!

I love Sandi Toksvig so was hoping for something better, really. It reminded me of this other thing I've seen on Challenge, which I can't remember the name of ('It's Not What You Know'????) but it's a similar principle. I presume the 'other thing' was on mainstream telly at some point. Still, it might improve. Early days and all that.

Awful, simply awful. The questions were pathetically easy.
Watched this on the Ch4 plus one to fill the 4:30pm gap before 'Pointless'. Found watching the repeats of 'Breakaway' more entertaining. Made me yearn for the return of 'Perfection' and that's saying something. |

What was the name of the show that used to be on presented by Tim Brooke-Taylor & Graham Garden from The Goodies - anyone remember it?
