Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the launch show for the third series of The Mix Factor!
As some of you may remember, the previous series was won by April's act The Fireflies, who just edged out fellow contender Altiyan Childs in a spectacular final show. Because of the success of the previous two series, I have decided to bring the format back to have yet another go with it as the show still interests people. With a new series comes another new launch thread, and this one is needed especially badly as there are quite a number of changes this series.
In The Mix Factor, four members of the Digital Spy Forums will take on a mentoring role of one of the four categories (girls, boys, groups and overs). Each of them will mentor FOUR X Factor acts from different countries in a bid to win the show with one of them. The game focuses on showcasing X Factor acts from around the globe and of course having fun.
However, just like last time there are a few rules in place to make The Mix Factor stand out from other games, read them carefully:
RULES
1. The chosen acts must have been in the live shows of their respective X Factors.
2. Each of the acts must be from a different country's X Factor.
3. No UK acts may be chosen (except series 9 contestants) to keep things fresh and interesting.
4. Be creative, you have the freedom to pick almost any X Factor act, so put it to good use.
5. Acts that have been on a previous version of The Mix Factor may not be chosen again:
Sadly, only one judge from series 2 has decided to return this series. However, that does mean there'll be a lot of new judges on the panel, which is exciting in its own right. Now, I will start by announcing the names of the four stars of the show: the judges!
Judges, please post only AFTER I have announced your name.
Digital Spy, are you ready for the grand reveal?
