[Game] The Mix Factor 3: Launch Thread
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the launch show for the third series of The Mix Factor!
As some of you may remember, the previous series was won by April's act The Fireflies, who just edged out fellow contender Altiyan Childs in a spectacular final show. Because of the success of the previous two series, I have decided to bring the format back to have yet another go with it as the show still interests people. With a new series comes another new launch thread, and this one is needed especially badly as there are quite a number of changes this series. In The Mix Factor, four members of the Digital Spy Forums will take on a mentoring role of one of the four categories (girls, boys, groups and overs). Each of them will mentor FOUR X Factor acts from different countries in a bid to win the show with one of them. The game focuses on showcasing X Factor acts from around the globe and of course having fun. However, just like last time there are a few rules in place to make The Mix Factor stand out from other games, read them carefully: RULES 1. The chosen acts must have been in the live shows of their respective X Factors. 2. Each of the acts must be from a different country's X Factor. 3. No UK acts may be chosen (except series 9 contestants) to keep things fresh and interesting. 4. Be creative, you have the freedom to pick almost any X Factor act, so put it to good use. 5. Acts that have been on a previous version of The Mix Factor may not be chosen again:
Spoiler
Sadly, only one judge from series 2 has decided to return this series. However, that does mean there'll be a lot of new judges on the panel, which is exciting in its own right. Now, I will start by announcing the names of the four stars of the show: the judges! Judges, please post only AFTER I have announced your name. Digital Spy, are you ready for the grand reveal? |

Okay, it's time to introduce the first member of the panel.
He's currently our only veteran judge, having been on the panel since the very first series. He almost steered Little Mix to victory that series, but failed to repeat that with his boys last series. He's also hosted a game or two lately, it's:

Thanks EoS, I'm thrilled to be back on the panel of this show. I had a bit of a dreadful time lst year with the boys but I am hoping I can hopefully do better on this series (if I get the groups again lol

All right, onto the second member of the panel:
The person has participated in quite a few games and has also done pretty well in competitions like NTGP, NTA or the NEXFG. Whoever gets this spot will be replacing April, who won last series. To do that, you absolutely have to have quite some experience and most importantly be able to dish out some serious criticism. If there's one person on this forum capable of doing just that, its the marvelous:

Welcome aboard Jess!
![]() Let's find out who the third member of the panel is shall we? This person is a true veteran, having participated in countless games already (including some of my own). He will have the hard task of replacing Niall on the panel, but I don't think he'll have any trouble doing it. The person I'm talking about is the amazing:

Onto the fourth and final member of the panel!
This final judge has really impressed me. He only recently started doing these games, but out of the three I've seen him do, he only lost one (to me ), showing that he is indeed a very capable judge. Please welcome the amazing:

All right, so that's our line-up everyone!
bboy1988 I've Got Class unclekevo jackel1234 Now, I'm sure you're all eager to find out which category you will be mentoring for the rest of the series. But before I reveal that, I want you to post both the category you'd really love to get and the one you absolutely don't want to get. Keep in mind that everything's set in stone already, it's just a question for all of you. Also, Kev isn't here at the moment, but he has made his decisions in advance. |

Well so far I've mentored the boys, girls and overs so I would like to see how I could do with the groups as they're the only one I haven't mentored yet. I actually don't mind the others as I think there's something good in all of them.

I've NEVER had the Overs in about one year of doing these games, so I would like a go at them. There's noone I wouldn't want though.

Sadly, that's not the category you wanted, but I'm sure you'll do well with this category regardless! Next up, we have both the GIRLS and the OVERS. Who will mentor which category? |
