At the weekend Anton did the behind the scenes slot, previously Claudia did this prior to her co-presenting the main show, could this mean that Anton is moving slowly,but surely up the pecking order to the ultimate presenting slot ????

I'm not sure the other dancers like him that much. I get no feeling of warmth toward him. I also agree he was poor.

That segment with Michael and the lifts was so awkward. It was clear he didn't want to do it and was worried about injuring himself.

Another Anton-bashing thread. What a huge surprise. Well, I've said it before but... I really like him and if he did present I'd be fine with that, but I'd miss his gorgeous ballroom dancing.

I'm a big Anton fan too, I love him on Strictly.

I wish I did have time to spare, there just aren't enough hours in the day to fit everything in, its always a mad dash to get everything done before the light fades, I would try and sleep less but you have to rest sometime or you tend to get grumpy and I try and avoid that if I can at all costs, a grumpy Terry is not a happy Terry.

That's a myth that he's Sir Brucie's replacement waiting in the wings. There was an opportunity for him the last week, they went for Claudia instead.

And the difference between Anton and Brucie in that respect is? Which is one of the reasons why Anton would be no good as a presenter.

The other reason being that no matter what people think, presenting isn't a job just anyone can do, it does require technique and therefore training, and presenting live also requires experience - especially when things go wrong. Regardless of whether or not Brucie, Tess and Claudia are liked, they all have the technique and experience to present live, which Anton just doesn't have.
