Gosh I must be blind then - where's me white stick!!

I work in a university library and see plenty of guys in their twenties on a daily basis and he looks older than 24 (to me). Not tons older, but he's certainly not youthful looking.

As I've said before, the facial hair won't help. Nor is the fake tan, make-up and botox.

Fine, he looks 24 then.

Just not a 24 year old human.

wow, Rylan is younger than me by 12 days he does look like he's pushing 30 though, must all the botox, it ages you when you have it so young.

Given that one of the janitors said about one of my 17 year old girls today. is that a 6th year she looks about 28. I think age can be a bit ambigious from late teens to early/mid 20's esp if you are very tall like Rylan and the girl in question but at most I would put Rylan 2-3 years older than he is but that could also be due to the beard.

Well, no matter what age people think he is, his passport clearly shows he's 24.

But, obviously he's not on the x factor for a singing career, just on there for a bit of fame. He was on Katie Prices model show, less than a year ago, and even admitted on one of the xtra factor shows that he'll be happy to take offers to do other things as/when he gets the boot.

I don't know any of my friends that have decided to change their name when they do things, his real name is Ross Richard Clark, but goes under the name Rylan Clark.

Yes, he is 24. He went to school with a bloke at works daughter and she remembers him well (except he was called Ross back then)

He's made no secret of being on Katie's show and being good friends with her, or going by a different name - its all public knowledge. How does it affect how young or old he looks?

What is wrong with him having a stage name? So many people in Television and Music have stage names, it's really no big deal. Ross isn't very creative or interesting, that's probably why he changed it more to suit him.

Hardly, when some people are suggesting he looks much older than he is.

Just checked on Ancestry.com and the registration of Oct 88 is correct. So he is only just 24!

I think he looks great, he has a mature look about him but no denying he is very good looking, (although I do not think Katie Price is in any way good looking, how does that figure)???

I think he looks young. I'm surprised people think he is older than 24. He doesn't appear to have any wrinkles, although it's true that facial hair always makes people look older.

Perhaps he's just one of those ageless people, the type who's true age is not immediately clear.

Or maybe it's his confidence, self-assurance, and complete certainty about who he wants to be and the image that he wants to present, that makes him come across as a little older.

he was working in the Inn (our localpub) when he was about 18, and that was only a few years ago, so yes his age is right.

James Arthur looks like he's in his late 20's as well.

What was he like in real life? The same as he is on X Factor?
