I know, I am just drumming up some artificial excitement for Wembley. This series Wembley hype is just abysmal!

Go on then, pple, get crazy excited! There will be breakthrough dances, first tens (almost a given), and many FUN FUN FUN dances to look forward to!

And last but not least: Long live long thread titles!!!

Good, who will be the first celeb getting the ten? Hmm? Which judge will be dishing it out? Bruno or Len? I supposed it would be a ballroom number to get a ten, so maybe Len would be the culprit?

Denise so everyone can go on about her being a ringer and a professional again

Looking forward to the sound issues, unfitting song choices, Bruce fluffing lines, some prop to rival the overrated cannon and a probably unsurprising elimination (surely Richard's time is up now).

I can't remember how they sold the whole Saturday / Sunday thing last year. Did they really attempt to brazen out the daftness of all 6000 returning on Sunday evening?

I am actually hoping for another 'shock' bottom two. Maybe it's time for Louis and Richard to be there?

They didn't pretend it was live, if I recall correctly...

Denise/Dani and Richard surely .

I'll eat my fabulous new shoes if Louis is there.

Actually, I'm saying Louis just to provoke a reaction from Alli.

She may be prone to emotional reaction but she's not stupid.

Of course, she's not.

Alan Dedicote says the word "Live" in the Saturday night voiceover, he doesn't on the Siunday programme: they knw we know they know we know it is not live. I thank you.

I wondered: do people think it's better to have a latin or a ballroom at Wembley?

Indeed. Only people who wants to grumble at any sorta thing would keep picking this one up and groan about it week on week. We know it's not live, enough is enough...

If all the dances are suitably uptempo (to cover the ginomous floor of Wembley) then it would be fine.

As such, QS-inspired AS or QS itself would be good. Or VW, where you twirl and spin and spin around the vast floor space...

I think last year if I recalled correctly the ballroom numbers were QS (Holly and Artem) and VW (Who's-That-Girl and James).

So long as you're the one starting them SCD-O.

I'm looking forward to bloody Wembley about as much as I would look forward to have a one to one with Ihaveadinnerjacket or whatever his name is in Iran. It's just stoopid in there. Victoria might as well bring her bike and ride it around the perimeter for all the artistic good it does.

By the way, a brilliant thread of yours elsewhere. A pleasure to read a nice, intelligent thread. I'd almost given up hope of having one on here. When life stops getting in the way, I'll contribute.

Considering that some celebs got nines last week then it wouldn't beyond comprehension that those same celebs could possibly get a 10 at Wembley. The situation, due to the setting, will feel bigger and even more exciting than usual and I wouldn't be suprised if one or two of the judges get over excited with their scoring paddles as well. If the celebs deserve a 10, or more, then I'm all for it, obviously.

I don't think all the dance couples will perform well, I'm sure a couple or more of them will get swamped by the size of the venue (and maybe their own over excitemen of the occasion).

Whenever I am travelling in the vicinity of Wemba Lea when there is an event on, the train is always packed full of drunken people singing "10 German barmaids" so the audience will probably be quite rowdy this week.

You are right about Holly and Artem. They did a Quick Step and made the mistake of trying to cover too much ground. There was just lots of running. The judges commented on it and so did Karen on Choreography Corner.

It was the awful not-Winehouse costume for Holly, wasn't it?

James and Alex did a Tango not a VW I think they will probably avoid the Waltzes as they aren't as showy.

Good point, they train all the week in smallish halls and it must be tricky when you're on a much larger floor space to know how far to travel in one direction or when to turn etc.

I'm not particularly good at this creative writing malarkey, but given the hype about Wembley, though I'd give it a go Please don't be too harsh in your response - I did say I'm not very good!

‘Twas the night before Wembley, & all through the land,
People awaited Dave Arch & his band,
The dancers were nervous & practising hard,
Tess frantically checking her ever present cue card,
And sat in a corner with a manic grin,
Bruce checked his joke archive - ‘I’ll make these fit in’
The camera crew practised with all of their might,
Perfecting dodgy camera work for the auspicious night,
So dear strictly fan, your wait is near over,
Tomorrow you’ll be rolling in strictly come dancing clover!!

Brilliant.

You forgot the sound crew practising in empty dustbins to get the right sort of hollow echo.
