Enough.... :(

Peeps,

This place has turned into a nightmare. Fun is resigned into Team No Team...why? Because so many people are bickering like penguins on ice everywhere else.

I am so fed up of people gloating about this or that, or being told that because they don't like something, they don't 'get it' - the tone is often 'let me educate you' or some other scathing and angry attack.

It just hasn't stopped, has it? The winner has won and the rest can be remembered.

I have felt stifled on this forum and I feel like we're all walking on eggshells now.

I have NEVER known anything like this. We have lost posters (e.g. Alrightmate) and various great peeps (like wee-ding-dong) have tried to reconcile the warring factions but to no avail.

It's awful. I hate it. Enough. I'm off.

See you on American Idol

Know what you mean zip and there are so many pointless threads that are no longer very funny and are pushing more important threads down the board. Hope to see you on the American Idol boards soon.

While I am not one to talk, blame it on the Steve fans. I have been reading these threads for ages but only joined yesterday to give them some of their own medicine. They ruined what was pleasant reading up until a few days ago.

When I came on here tonight I thought "Oh whoopidoo, more hate threads" - honestly, the immaturity of some people! Bloody hell...what's the world come to?

Sorry - I just thought it would lighten every ones mood and get Steve and G4 fans laughing together. Which it has done to a certain extent. I'll leave my warped sense of humor to Team No Team.

Am I forgiven?

No need to apologise. Its a forum after all and it doesnt necessarily mean I was referring to you.

Sorry to see you go Zip, but I sort of agree and disagree with some of your post.

There have so many REALLY nasty Steve threads going up since he won X Factor. The main of them from G4 fans, who seem to have joined the forum for that sole purpose, so maybe there would have been no gloating on behalf of some of us Steve fan's if this hadn't happened in the first place.

Because of the bad atmosphere, I thought all Munta and a few other's were doing was trying to lighten the mood and bring the forum back to how it was. It seems it is ok for some G4 fans to multiple post nasty Steve threads but not for other's to try and lighten the mood a bit.

Maybe if the Mods had sorted some of the multiple Steve threads to start with, none of this would have happened. I am liking the fun threads at the moment as they are a darn sight better than the nasty ones imho.

Not yourself Zip, but some others on this forum practise double standards when it befits them

It is a bit of a warzone on here at the moment and there have been nasty posts from both sides. It's got so horrid on here since Saturday that I haven't posted much, apart from on the Team Steve thread. Most people aren't to blame, most of the fans on both sides are fine and probably hate the atmosphere around here as much as I do; it's just some people who like stirring up trouble.

As for the joke threads, I found them really funny at first, but I must admit I am getting a bit tired of them now as well. They were a brillaint idea at first Munta and I think they did get us all laughing - Steve and G4 fans both - but there are a bit too many of them now and maybe we should give it a rest for a bit

I'm getting really bored with wading through all the "funny" threads (about as funny as G4 are a hardcore rock band) - can't you just ignore the offensive stuff and carry on with discussion? I know it's difficult but I'm sure a lot of people will give up posting at all.

It does seem that you are not allowed to like or dislike either of the finalists for fear of their fans coming down on you like a ton of bricks. But I don't see any harm in criticising Steve or G4 as long as it is constructive (note for Sharon there!).

Interestingly for me, the angle Heat magazine seems to have taken is to give the two finalists more or less equal space - I'm guessing the space was allocated before the final, but it does seem to suggest that in the "real world" there isn't really that big a gap between the two. The music industry is big enough for both finalists - I shall probably change channels when either come on my radio to be honest but I don't see why they both can't do well. Why should there only be ONE winner? Musicality, a recent theatre idol type programme on Channel 4, had five winners and the powers that be would be shooting themselves in the foot if they failed to develop any of the other talent spotted on the programme just because only one act must win.

I'm rambling ... off to work on my audition for next year- I thought a nice cover of "We are the cheeky girls" in four part harmony - all sung by myself as I'm mad, me.

There, you have your winner!

Zip!!! Nooooooo!!!!!!!!

I totally agree with you though. But I'm so totally loving the Team No Team thread that I can't keep away......that and my safe haven of Team Steve. You will definitely see me over at the AI forum soon, but I'll miss your input, your sense of decency and your ability to disagree gracefully. I wish there was more like you. Sadly there's not.

To be honest, I saw all the *anti-Steve* threads listed on the main index and never looked at any of them until I found out that they were meant as light-hearted fun by an actual Steve fan, but if it hadn't ben pointed out to me, I would have thought they were nasty threads too.

I hope you don't stay away but I have a feeling that we've lost another valuable poster on the forum. And I'm very sad.

See ya Zip and maybe run into you on some other RTV forum in the future.
Think I might be joining you soon as this has all got a bit out of hand of late - you can't move for joke threads or hate threads it seems.

Where did the fun, humour and decent debate go?

I think the fact is that comments have been made from both sides. Steve fans think its great he has won and are over the moon and G4 fans think the voting was rigged or that Sharons comments accounts for Steve's win.

Then there are the slimey comments - comments that are not offensive in the usual obvious way, but you just know that its meant to be nasty.

Those people know who they are, a few others have picked up on it as well. Frankly I've got much more time for people who just say it as it is, without the slimeyness.

Honestly I dont think G4 were that bad, but Steve won fairly. Some people would have you believe otherwise!

I agree (sorry for clipping your post slightly ) This supposed to be a discussion forum, but you can't post something even remotely negative about anyone without getting a load of other posters coming down on you like a ton of bricks.

I also agree with your comments about there being enough room for both finalists in the music industry - I would stretch that to say for Tabby and maybe Roweatta as well. We know from past programs that it isn't only the winner who stays the course, winners Will and Girls Aloud are still here, but so is Lemar, while Liberty X did much better than Hear'say. Why do we all have to pour so much vitriol on acts other than our favourties, I'm a Steve fan but wish all other 8 finlaists

I've hated it over the last week or so and I thought the fun threads lightened it up a bit and did what you said Munta.

I have not liked and stayed away from most of the negative stuff since the final. I hate the fact that the G4 fans are getting the blame when most of the hate stuff came from relatively new G4 fans, some of them I think just came to stir trouble.

I don't mind that Steve won, am glad that G4 might be getting signed, don't give a damn how much he won by or why, I used to enjoy it on here but it got horrible. Hell we had to change the title of our Team thread to try and keep out the Trolls.

Anyway, I will be hanging around a bit hoping that Chuh gets reinstated and enjoying the company on the Team threads. Sorry that some have left but it seems you have to be thick skinned to hang around here these days.

Please stop these ridiculous 'joke' threads. They are now unfunny and are wasting space on the front page for more interesting threads whcih will get knocked off if the stupid threads continue. If you just want to post unfunny jokes... go onto the Chatter Forum, and stay away from X Factor!
