Lol, that was my reaction. I'm sick of looking at their miserable, pathetic faces - so depressing.

I was thinking more along the lines of 'Celebration' by Kool & the Gang myself.

Unfortunately, I have a feeling their leaving scene will be Cora talking to Derek and in the background we see Christian and Syed getting on a bus. And that's it.

PMSL why even give them an on-screen exit at all? Their screentime has been dismal all year, they could leave off-screen and at this point nobody would notice. (or care)

Still hoping against hope that they don't leave together - Christian deserves better, and Syed deserves no one atm.

Spoiler

Of course, they love one another and just because the writers have pushed Syed's negative traits to the limit with this storyline - like they did with Christian last year but to a lesser extent - doesn't mean he doesn't have positive traits too.

Christian had 'been around' for 20 years before meeting Syed and so he was ready to settle down.
Was it right for Syed to settle down after having 0 years as an openly gay man? It's debateable.

To never hear Syed uttering/whineing "Chris-che-an" again... to be fair i don't care what music they play or how they leave but I can actually see a julia's theme coming up, just as a gesture from tptb to all the 'Chryed' fans

No you don't. I don't think this exit storyline deserves the theme but yes the characters do very much so....they've meant a lot to me over the years.

Why should they get it? It is not some happy ending even if they go off together. 99% of the time Julia's Theme has been used for exits they have been positive ones. Few people believe in 'Chryed' as a couple anymore, it would be easier if they just disappeared. They were not seen from March until the Summer and I would hardly say anyone was up in arms about it beyond the 10-15 diehards.

Julia's Theme isn't used in any particular way - it's an alternative ending when the duff duffs aren't appropriate or wouldn't fit. So, naturally, this means positive endings, poignant deaths or storyline closures are more likely to get the theme.

I don't think any character "deserves" it, but I want Chryed to get an ending that is fitting for Julia's Theme. Because I believe in them, and their original storyline was really important to a lot of people, and for a lot of people. A few weeks of dodgy characterization and storytelling doesn't erase that.

I get that you don't like them and that's fair enough. So would you care that much if they did get the theme anyway?

Even though I don't feel they deserve it I think it matters because JT is normally used for significant events and to use it for the exit of two supporting characters where I don't believe anything is going to change for them moving forward would make a mockery of that.

Chryed have been on a merry-go-round of abject misery for months and months now, it is not just the past few weeks. The Syed coming out story perhaps had a positive impact but that was years ago and doesn't have any bearing on the development (or lack of) of the characters now. A happy ending is not really going to fit with what we have seen on-screen recently.

Tbh I would question how positive the Syed coming out story actually was for people in similar situations. Some of the more sensational aspects of the story probably did more harm than good for many I would've thought so while I'm sure there are some who were helped by it, I can imagine for others it had the opposite effect. No denying it was a great story though but 'Chryed' should've left in 2010 after their story had been told cos ever since the foundations of their relationship have been pulled from under them.

If it's at the end of the episode, they'll get a JT or something similar. If they leave in the middle/at the start of the episode, they won't get anything. Simples!

Julia's Theme to celebrate the most catastrophic mismatch in the history of EE, now that would be ironic.
