I downloaded this last night and gave it a bash. It's not even a game, it's basically tapping your screen and that is it! Complete rubbish imo.

....you've missed the whole point of it altogether!

Yes - on the surface, you are indeed just 'tapping your screen' as you put it. However, if you read the description and do some research into the 'game', you will find out that it is not actually a 'game' at all.

It is a social experiment, devised by Peter Molyneux (famous for the Fable games, amongst other things) and the idea is simple:

There is a cube with thousands and thousands of little smaller cubes, which when tapped, get 'chipped' away. This, slowly slowly, reveals another layer underneath.

Layers underneath, can only be 'chipped' away once all of the topmost layer has been removed on the whole larger cube.

You may now wonder - well what is the point of this?!

Well - the point is this: This is a social experiment in which the cube is actually 'Live' for the whole world. Everybody in the whole world is 'chipping' away at these tiny cubes. When you are playing, you can actually see other cubes disappearing (other players in the world who are 'chipping' away).

The idea is to find out whats inside the cube (i.e. strip away all the layers until the world gets to the middle).

Peter Molyneux has stated: Only 1 person will be able to provide the final tap, thus revealing what is hidden in the centre of the cube.

He has also stated: when this person finds whatever is hidden in the centre, it will be 'Amazing and Life Changing (his words, not mine).

So there you have it - not really a game but an 'experiment' where the whole world works together to get to the centre.......

I've read quite a lot about it and I'm well aware of Peter Molyneux and his hyperbole.
I even used to play Populous on my Amiga many moons ago.
Still doesn't change the fact that this is a steaming turd, why would I want to just tap (chip) squares on my screen for hours on end or even worse watch someone else do it? How would you feel if you spent money on virtual mining equipment only for 'the chosen one' who actually finds out what's in the box to decide he's going to keep it a secret?
This is neither a game nor a social experiment, it's nosey parker bait!!

Maybe you win a million quid.. Or there's hidden message saying "ha ha, sucker!"

Seriously though I downloaded it and would keep at a few mins a day but it kept crashing to homescreen so I deleted it.
