The X Factor 2013?
Mr Gossip

The X Factor's ratings have lowered by 2m this year compared to last year so I have a list of what I think the show needs to be Britain's number one show. First of all, I believe the auditions should only be in front of the judges, as it won't be too nerve-wracking for auditionees. I also think that the panel of 2007 should return in 2013 - Simon Cowell, Sharon Osbourne, Louis Walsh Dannii Minogue. The age restrictions can be back to 14+ to help find the next generation of singers. Also, I would love it if the judges got their allocated categories as soon as the Auditions finish. The categories can remain the same. I think Simon should have the Girls, Sharon can have the Group, Louis with the Boys and Dannii can have the Over 25's. I think the theme nights should be axed during the live shows, with the results on Saturday and a fifth, unbiased judge should be thrown in the mix. I also think that the Judges should lose their power to vote and, for week 1, the public vote for an act to eliminate, to stop the Rylans of the competition going further.I think the results should be announced in order of who got most votes as well. The winner receives a £3 million pound recording contract. The contest is presented by Kate Thornton and Dermot O'Leary. What would you like to see happen?

There's one problem, Danni will never come back and we need to accept this.

I do think that they should never have changed the auditioning process but Dannii being on the panel was the reason why Sharon ended up quitting the show.

When she was later interviewed by Piers Morgan she compared Dannii to a mosquito and Dannii admitted it was always tense whenever the two of them were together.

Last year Dannii forgave Sharon. I think Dannii will return to the panel alongside Simon, even if it is so she can beat him. Which judges would you choose and what category would you give them?

Well after watching her interview on Sunday brunch I doubt she'll be back. She seems to have moved on.

Series 4 was easily the worst in X Factor history. The panel was terrible and had lost the magic and spark it had the three years prior- Sharon was miserable, Louis didn't say anything, Dannii was irrelevant and Simon was lodged up her backside (and we've since found out perhaps in more than the metaphorical sense).

The acts were all terrible with the standard extremely low, Rhydian was OK but an acquired taste and not right for X Factor. The 14 year old age limit wasn't great either, with one token 14 year old making the live shows who got kicked out after 2 weeks. Kids at that age should be at school, not a flash in the pan on this kind of show.

The big shake up the show had for series 5 was much needed and welcomed, and set the precendent for the following years and the show becoming huge.

I think 2007 was a lot better than the three series before that. In fact, I think it was better than series 7.

Don't bother changing the format. Its going to be last ever series next year, we're just waiting for the news.

It's still one of the biggest shows on TV, its just that the ratings were that high between 2009-11 the figures now look poor. It also has the best profile for advertisers by a massive margin. It isn't going anywhere.

I wonder if we can turn the clock back to 2010? No? Oh, well.

As much as I'd like a return to former glories, it ain't gonna happen. And saying, "let's get back to closed auditions", "get Dannii back!" (or Cheryl, Sharon, Kelly, whoever) is as bad as Simon trying his "reheat a suffle" policy (Cheryl on US X Factor, Paula on US X Factor).

You won't 'save' the X Factor by just bringing back what worked. It needs new ideas not old ideas.

I would not mind having Gary instead of Simon. The panel will be perfect with Gary, Dannii, Louis and Nicole.

How many times does Simon Cowell have to say 'I'm not coming back' before you believe him?

I think this year will be the last. A poll in a paper for this year's predictions saw the X Factor being cancelled as the most popular prediction. The overkill, the fake rows and the fact viewers are switching off in big numbers mean its days are numbered.

You think big!
Its a shame Dannii & Sharon didn't work out. Weirdly enough that panel is by far my fav. They had a chemistry, especially Dannii & Simon that was special. I'd give anything to see them battle it out again.

I think they should keep adding musicians maybe add a band cat like they did in germany. Theirs was a mess but it could work if done properly.
