Anyone else hate COD?
Or is it just me. Just pisses me off when the games get released that better more innovative games get vastly overlooked , and it really is the most boring, generic game you can get.

No, although I do think it is partly to 'blame' for not getting a Timesplitters 4

Don't hate it. Just bored with it, much like NFS and FIFA/ProEv. I think they should be released every two years rather than the annual craziness.

Agreed on all counts. BO2 is the first COD game that i've passed on, it's not that i "hate" the series or anything now, it's just that i think it's definitely stuck in a rut and the whole "Annual £40 Map Pack" argument is getting harder and harder to disagree with. I doubt i'll buy another current gen iteration of the series now, but i'd definitely get the first one on the next gen of consoles as hopefully they'll put a bit more effort into it.

Yeah I'm another one that doesn't hate it I'm just bored of it. I didn't rate black ops one or any of the other cod games made by Activision and I didn't play much of mw3 so giving it a miss this year. I'm also bored of the yearly nfs and assassin creed games although I'm hoping this assassins creed is better than the last couple as I'm getting it later on in the year. Looking forward to hitman though

I don't hate COD, but I do think the praise it gets is undeserved game after game. Same with Halo.
Every website gives them both super high ratings and acts as though they are the greatest games ever, with massive innovations that change everything, when really they are the same time and time again, albeit with minor changes, |

I don't hate it, the series just doesn't interest me, life dictates that my gaming time is limited these days so games centered on online multiplayer hold little appeal as I would be constantly playing catch-up, I'd rather play a good rounded single player game which I can easily jump in and out of, COD campaigns are just too small to make the games worthwhile to me.

I hated the single player campaign on BO1 (finished the whole glitchy boring mess in about 5 hours), so really there wasn't anything drawing me to BO2. I had it pre-ordered, but the more i saw of it as we got nearer to release the less i was interested, so i cancelled it, and based on what i played and saw earlier i'm quite glad that i did. Off topic (sort of), but for the people who are saying that they're bored of the NFS games, i'd strongly urge you to give this years Most Wanted a chance, Criterion (the devs behind the Burnout games) have made a superb game and it's basically Burnout Paradise 2 in all but name. I'm about 3/4 of the way through the single player career and it's fantastic, don't let the annual nature of the NFS name put you off this one, it's much better than the other minimal effort production line NFS games. |

I was a fan of COD Mordern Warefare Then No.2 but then it became to mainstream.
I do like the campaigns though just completed Black Ops 2 campaign and loved it but then went online to hear Little kids screaming down there mics and thats what puts me off.. yes kids they annoy me so much on games like this. |

I guess I don't "hate" it, but I couldn't be less interested in it.

So if there isn't going to be a MW4 I don't know what the next online shooter is for me. As for FIFA, years ago I only bought them every 2 years but now it's every year because they add so much to them. |

Becoming less excited about it tbh. The whole launch of this one was a bit meh. Can't get online with it so don't even know if it's any good.
This is the 1st time I haven't pre-ordered. |

I lost interest in COD when it became a global phenomena and it was embraced by chavs and idiots who scream racist insults down the mic. No thanks.

I remember seeing CoD1 and thinking how crap it was compared to the same sort of FPS multiplayer game that was Wolfenstein Enemy Territory which was a proper seriously amazing game and it was even free! i cant say the same about any CoD game.
I couldnt believe it when CoD MW2 became a hit, i was like, are you f.... kidding me?! its an absolute pile of crap compared to loads of other games. Ive no idea why kids go crazy about it, its like go play Lego land multiplayer or something would be more fun than that POS. Planetside 2 (PC only), best FPS multiplayer game ive ever played, it walks all over BF3 except in the graphics department, and makes BO2 look like some Connect 4 board game. |

I dont hate it but skipped the last two games as they brought nothing new to the table and I lost interest in the series.
I am impressed with the reviews of the new game though as the developers have done something different. I will buy it for Wii U if it is a solid port! |
