In the green corner: Thin Lizzy

In the red, white and blue corner: Lynyrd Skynyrd

Out of left field: Wishbone Ash

Any other candidates deserving a mention?

Thin Lizzy for me, also love LS, its hard to think of many bands that use that signature twin sound, think molly hatchett did as well.

I love the twin guitar solo harmony on detriot rock city by Kiss.

about 2.50 in...

They were the band at my first uni fresher's gig. Apart from the bloke who seemed to be dancing to the music in his own head the biggest impression was the loudest kick drum I have*ever* heard!

As some of you might guess from my username ...it's Thin Lizzy everytime. Wishbone Ash had been doing it before them, but Lizzy took it up a notch or three!

A mention also to Judas Priest, who also had a great twin guitar sound.

Peter Greens Fleetwood Mac actually had three leads, Peter Green, Danny Kirwan and Jeremy Spencer.

Can't forget to throw the Allman Brothers, especially the Live at the Fillmore album, and Derek and the Dominos, Layla & Other Assorted Love Songs, into the mix.
