All of these shows tend to look for and often find a commentator for diary rooms/general comments. They then get asked the whats going on questions- because they are smart enough to know and articulate enough to explain to the viewers. Charlie fits into that role. The downside is that there's some viewers who think its wrong for anyone to make any comments- however obvious - about anyone, and most people you comment on will have some supporters who don't agree with your comment.It tends to be a role thats falls to females, and they tend to get to the end, but most don't win. Charlie however has other strengths to deploy if she gets that far.

the full programme. the editing , who they put in and how they use them is all two faced, we the audience are being played for the fools..

I dont think anyone can say Charlie is less entertaining yet because we have not had much chance to see her personality or how she copes with a task because it's The Helen Show at the moment. Wish the GBP would realise there are lots of characters in there and it would be fun to see how they each cope with trials. We can only hope things change soon

Wow, can't stand that Charlie woman she's so mean. I guess she is wishing all the attention was on her.

If she'd said something that wasn't true or had a go at someone then fair enough but just going into the diary room to vent is pretty much what its there for.

Besides Helen is about as tedious as they get and if she was the reason i was living on rice i'd probably say more.

I think thats her problem, all the celebs like Helen and look after her, Charlie would like a little attention me thinks.

I love Charlie, I don't blame her for saying things in the telegraph rather than to Helen's face.
She doesn't want to cause a scene and ruin the camp atmosphere so early on.

Charlie is just saying it like it is without causing an atmosphere in the camp, if that is seen as two faced then so be it.

I think the viewers are thinking the same as MACTOWIN, now Charlie is voted to do trials, thats a sure sign of the public falling out of love with her.

I'm sure that I would do what she does - I would rather vent to someone anonymous in the telegraph, than cause an atmosphere in camp! The thing is, if she actually told Helen how she's feeling, then she would be accused of bullying her! Heads I win, tails you lose!

She has been two faced in the last three shows imo. Why was she put up for the trial tonight.

then why are they still voting for Helen. Everyone knew this was a double so for a variety of reasons those 2 together are a good choice. Having said that you're probably right about the public view and as ever it's sexist to it's core.

David bitches about Helen, Eric and David bitch about Hugo but that's ok for some reason

David doesn't bitch about her, he teases her and does so to her face, and she laughs WITH HIM.

Eric likes Hugo, so I dont get where the bitching comments are coming from there.

Charlie slates Helen every time she goes to talk about her but never tells her to her face, instead is all sweetness and light to her...but she clearly doesn't like her.

Exactly...I fully expect them all to be bitching behind Helens back, but editing shows Charlie doing it, playing to her Janine character...

But, at the moment, she is merely irritated by her - if she went and said so to her face, that would be construed as bullying! The bottom line is, they all believe that Helen has really tried in the tasks, maybe Charlie doesn't want to make Helen feel worse by telling her how she feels?

Because I like Helen, I think I would do the same as Charlie - I would winge and vent in the telegraph, and keep peace and not cause an atmosphere in the camp.

Actually, Charlie hasn't been all sweetness and light in the camp, she did tell Helen that they would all get fed up if she kept on coming back with no meals! (I can't remember the exact comment )

Your teasing is someone else's bitching. I agree David does so to Helen's face but he also does so in the hut and for the record Eric does not like Hugo He picks away at him all the time and bitches about him to David and Brian.

I think Charlie is in a difficult situation as I've already said. I don't really know what she would confront Helen with. She irritates her but is it worth bringing this up and causing all sorts of difficulties for everyone Also Helen goes to her for comfort and the kind and adult thing to do is give her that but then everyone says that she's 2 faced. Imagine if she just told her to get lost

I don't think Charlie is doing anything wrong.

But the interesting thing is that Charlie's odds of winning have shortened across the board following tonight's programme.. the bookies don't seem to think the public are falling out of love with her at all

I honestly think Charlie (at least Janine) is one of the only well known people to voters, I mean twitter only seem to talk about her, Helen, David and Nadine... so it really doesn't surprise me that those four have and probably will continue to be the top four up for the trials.

Eric been bitching about Hugo calling him a spoilt little rich boy.
Anyway I don't think Charlie two faced she just doesnt want to create an atmosphere if she confronted her some would say she being a bitch.
