I was looking at the Asus Infinity pad (TF700), which (on paper) has a very nice screen. However I was unable to see on in real life in the UK or Dubai (whilst on holiday). No one had a demo version. Thus I wasnt comfortable spending all that money without seeing one in real life. Although I hadnt seen a Nexus 10 in real life either, google do allow 15 days to return an item. So I had plenty of time to play with one, and then decide. However within the first few hours I knew I was going to keep it (especially at that price).
A dock is not for me. However if you will get a lot of use out it, then that was the best tablet for you. Although, you would be able to get a bluetooth keyboard for any tablet, its not as elegant as the Asus solution.
Are Asus a far far better company than Samsung? I am not so sure about that.
As with updates, nothing will update quicker than a Nexus device.
Thats the great thing about Android, you have a plethora of devices to suit every taste and budget. You do your research, and pick the one that suites your needs the best.
