Bought and received are two different things. They only went on sale online this morning. There aren't any stores selling them yet.

I think $399 for the 16GB is a very good price. It's a great tablet with amazing display. The only thing that bothers me is the wide edges around the display which make it look like some of the old Samsung tablets. But I guess this is only at first glance. I am pretty sure the Nexus 10 is a very well build and solid device. I am thinking of buying one very soon.
Here is a good hands-on review of the Nexus 10 tablet http://forconsumers.blogspot.co.uk/2...and-hands.html |

Mine arrived this morning and while it's an Xmas pressie I still had a quick look at it. Personally I don't find the design anywhere near as bad as it looked in some of the photos. It a very solid bit of kit from what I felt after un-boxing it.
I'm not going to fiddle anymore as it's a present but if the screen is all it's cracked up to be I'll probably end up buying one for myself

I would rather have wider bezels, than smaller ones. Having a smaller bezel would mean that you would have to hold it very carefully so you do not obscure any of the screen. |

The bezel on my galaxy tab 10.1 is also wide. So probably I am used to a wide bezel. Will have to see the N10 in real life, to see if it is too big.

I have an iPad 2 at the moment and am thinking of getting the Nexus 10. Besides teething problems, I've read quite a few times that some apps look really poor on the Nexus 10, e.g.
"I love Android as and OS, but Android tablets are just not worth it at this point. Apps like: - ESPN Scorecenter - Ebay - Pandora - Chase Mobile - Amazon Mobile (doesn't even exist for Android tablets yet) SUCK on Android tablets. And these are all FREE" Can someone with the Nexus 10 comment on this and maybe even post screenshots? |

A couple of us who've bought one have posted our thoughts on the N10 in this thread. The only one of that list of apps that I have installed is facebook, here's a quick screenie...
https://www.dropbox.com/s/ysbwjt7jnl...6-19-26-57.png In general, HD content looks fantastic, non-HD doesn't... |

Thank you for the screenshot! Don't think it looks that bad to be honest.
I was reading through that thread before, but you were the only one who made a comment about non-HD optimised content. |

I think the fact that the optimised stuff looks so good means I tend to notice more when it's not. Bottom line is it's a cracking good tablet and I'd wholeheartedly recommend it!

To be honest, whilst the HD stuff does look great, the non-HD stuff doesnt look bad to be honest.
If flynn tells me how he took the screenshot, I would be happy to take some screen shots of ESPN scorecentre and ebay. I installed the ESPN scorecentre app last night to have a look at how it looks, and it looked fine to me, very useable. |

To get a screenshot hold down the power and volume down keys together for a couple of seconds. They get saved to a screenshots folder in the gallery.

Nice link, thanks for that - some handy stuff.
On the screenshot, make sure you keep both buttons held down until you hear the sound. I've noticed it doesn't work if you hit volume down before power. |

Out of both the Asus Transformer Pad (TF300T) and the Nexus 10 I chose the TF300T.
I prefer the Transformer Pad in every way. For a start it is from a far, far better company and I would get a lot of use out of the dock. Asus offer updates speedily also. |

A dock is not for me. However if you will get a lot of use out it, then that was the best tablet for you. Although, you would be able to get a bluetooth keyboard for any tablet, its not as elegant as the Asus solution. Are Asus a far far better company than Samsung? I am not so sure about that. As with updates, nothing will update quicker than a Nexus device. Thats the great thing about Android, you have a plethora of devices to suit every taste and budget. You do your research, and pick the one that suites your needs the best. |
