To me they are Simon Cowell's creation of the real life BRATZ! He wanted to make the real life version of them and that's Little Mix. Saturday night showcased they offer no different to what girl bands have brought before. They sing to generic pop beats, yes I will give it to them they can hold their harmonies well, but as solo singers they are incredibly bland. The sooner they are dropped the better IMO. Janet Devlin is much more original and authentic.

Generic? LOL

Boring? They all have such great personality's anything but boring.

They lack Orginality? Wings was very Orginal and DNA sounds simlar to ET because that was one of their best peformances.

Well, they seem a harmless enough bunch of girls and their music is saleable, so I've no particular wish to see them fail: but, yes. I've pledged for Janet's CD and from what I've heard of LM there's little or no chance of my seeking out their recordings. Seeing them perform DNA did leave me wondering how much, if any, creative input they have in terms of their music or styling.

Wrong. Stop being pressed just because your fave didn't win. Appreciate both or just don't listen to Little Mix. Simple, no need to be so horrible.

They co-wrote DNA and Wings as well as numerous songs on the album including this 'Going Nowhere' ( they wrote this with Nicola from Girls Aloud) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J2z5PoL9bQw

I wish they performed this version on Saturday night just to prove a point.

What do you want them to do? Play a guitar and the drums or something? They're a girlband.

What even is originality anymore? Everything has been done. No one is truly original, not even Janet Devlin. What makes me laugh is you seem to think that had she won, she wouldn't be churning out the same "generic" chart music that Little Mix, Olly Murs, Cher Lloyd and 1D are making.

They aren't generic at all. Have you heard the sh*t that Chris Brown, Flo Rida & Taio Cruz pump out? That's generic.

And they're not boring, they're very funny.

No they're not 'original', no one is, especially not Janet pigging Devlin.

So is the OP implying that Little Mix are not original but Janet Devlin is?

Co-wrote? And like the Spice Girls do they get a 0.1% writing credit for their contribution? (i.e. zilch)

Your last paragraph is ironic as if they were a girl band, they would play drums & guitars or some other musical instruments.

They're a harmless fun girlband for the teenagers. They aren't massively different to the Saturdays or Girls Aloud but they sing pop music, and are chart friendly

Funny you should say that

As I believe a few of the girls can play musical instruments.

Well at least they have contributed....which is pretty rare for a x factor winner. They have 8 writing credits on the album.

But that's probably a lie because they're 'puppets' as everyone says

They could have just changed a couple of words aka Cher Lloyd.

No they wouldn't. The word "band" is not limited to the playing of musical instruments by any dictionary definition. It can mean that. But it can also mean any group of people who "band" together for a common goal or interest.

Oh what a novelty a thread bashing an X factor winner

Oh and I don't think Simon Cowell had much input. He was/is too busy with X Factor USA

The songs are good and I think as personalities they've got a stronger connection to their fans than the more glossy Saturdays. They'd have to have had that to win X Factor because girlbands tend to do particularly badly.

The two singles so far have been great and both are doing well.

They can sing very well! Harmonies are perfection and are really funny and sweet girls!! Listentotaxman their youtube videos! They have better voices than the spice girls, Saturdays and Girls aloud put together! And they have originality with the beat boxing and rapping! A girl group in a long time in which every member can actually SING with amazing voices.
